Commanders vs. Seahawks Day After Tell The Truth Oh My Goodness Thread

I did the lookahead. It’s not pretty. Gannon is probably going to be the best option available out there. Not a lot behind him.

In retrospect, we should have replaced Whitt with Ullbrich like how McDonald replaced Grubbs with Klint after a winning season
Or Robert Salah (49ers). Should’ve beaten down his door.

Because they'll take immediate action to improve things, instead of procrastinating.
Even though our wiring is as bad as ive ever seen i still dont want them firing the electrician because the toilets dont work.

Thats just about the only thing that could make this mess worse.

I would like to see Jayden request a trade.

He shouldn't have been in the game, and he deserves better than this garbage.....and at a minimum, it would cause Whitt to be fired within 24 hours.
Actually, if he was pulled, I think he would have had a little hissy fit about it. He's a competitor. He didn't want to come out of the game. On that 4th and 15, when he was tackled, he threw the ball in disgust.

To his mind, he's the starting QB, and he's going to stay in to finish the job. It's also why he tried to scramble on the last play. He could have just thrown the ball away. But he tried to make something of it, because that's what he does.

But that's why you need an adult in charge that takes his helmet away and ties his shoe laces together so he can't go into the game when he's not supposed to be in the game. That's on Quinn, and Quinn alone.

I think they could have beaten down the door, but I think he wanted to go back to SF and coach for Kyle. I mean, really, who wouldn't?

This. Don’t think DQ actually coached w Saleh. Ullbrich worked for DQ for years in ATL though and got promoted along the way

That reunion was very slow (delayed) to develop.

And I’m sure returning to your old haunts after you left and failed… isnt as easy as you’re making it sound 😂

Last season the Commanders DC job would have been as attractive as any in the NFL. There’s no way he was getting another HC job any time soon. Which is just another reason why he’d have been a grear candidate. His defenses in New York were still very good!

Throw enough money… which the team can do now… Im not sure he’d turn us down.

And Ulbrich is just as viable a candidate too. Not saying otherwise. But he’s a 1.b.

But hes already a defensive coordinator and cant make a lateral move.

I’m in the “who cares” camp on this one. I’m interested to see what we can get out of Burks
I was looking forward to seeing more of Luke, Lane and yes, Burks. Burks has the most talent but all three contain upside this team needs and we don't have as much semi-tapped upside at other positions currently

He was fired from the Jets as a HC last season mid-way.

I believe he joined the Vikes as a consultant until the end of the season.

He was available in the offseason.

Ahh gotcha you meant last offseason, i thought you meant this one.

Depressing to think what Kyle could do with a talent like JD5 and we will never know.
I personally think Kliff did an amazing job last year, and would have done an amazing job this year. I know there's a desire to pile on Kliff because of whatever, I don't see it. He was a top 5 OC last year. Is Kyle maybe #2? Maybe. Reid is #1, and the distance between him and #2 is pretty big. I get that Kyle and Reid are HC's, and there are OCs on both teams. But both are the driving forces of their offenses.

We'll have to agree to disagree there, friend. I think Kliff is part of the problem personally.

We can agree to disagree. I think he's been about the only part of the solution which had worked up until a few weeks ago when they literally lost everybody. There's nothing he can do.

Ahh I can see your point on that VoR. I think at this point I am just reaching for anything to explain the sheer cliff that our offense has sprinted off. Yes I understand the injury bug has really hit our offense, and that is the majority of the problem but it's hard to keep a level head even understanding that.

We should’ve done everything to try and get Vrabel at the time. I just have 0 faith in this coaching staff going forward. They have got hit in the mouth early seemingly every game.

Well so much for even getting a 5th or 6th out of him

I don't think that was ever going to happen. It would have been more about a 6th for 7th swap and getting some of that base salary off our books so it would roll over into extra cap room for next year
