I have zero doubt Turner abandoned the run & the box scores reflect it, most notably in the losses. They may have been ranked 10th in attempts with 477. But that can mostly be attributed to four game win streak against Bucs 34, car 40, seat 43, & lv 30.
One can only dream of the 80’s power run game again. The team won then, and won in 2021 with it. Scott gets away from it and the gameplan folds as a result. How many times has the run game been rhythmically working only to for Scott to call 9 out of the next 10 plays a pass, usually resulting in underthrown incompletes?
I dont see it as a fallback or excuse when the OC continuously proves he can fail with pass plays that usually didn’t work over a run game that did. That again is on Scott for not exploiting what works and properly utilizing players on hand. We’re seeing 2 completely different versions of Turner’s playcalling brother. In the end that’s okay though
