I agree this team has a ways to go to be on top.
However, due to the state of the NFC East with injuries in Dallas, generally average play by both the Eagles and Giants, perhaps 2024 offers Washington the opportunity to arrive early as a division winner or wildcard contender.
And that's certainly worth pursuing at reasonable cost.
Trading a Day 1 or top Day 2 pick for a 30 plus year old receiver or other who costs $$$$ is not necessarily the move we should be making.
What we can do is look around at teams like the Jaguars, Titans, etc. and see if there is a younger to mid career vet there that we can pry free in a year that looks lost for them.
That player or players can then factor into our improvement over the next season or two as well as helping us in 2024.
