2024 Roster Updates

AE is such a key part to our offense when he is in there and we need him to be a threat. Any amount of game speed reps we can get him, I would do it. Also, as a coach, I need to see if he has any hesitation to his play. Doubtful, but never assume. Plus, seeing him in a huddle will ramp up his teammates. Going into the playoffs and playing Dallas, we want this game to be a drubbing. AE will/can be a boost for that to happen.

Ekeler on a pitch count to shake off the rust is a good thing. Having him fresh in the playoffs when the run game has been struggling could be a game-changer.
 
Agree. And I would say that keep McCaffrey on kickoffs even in the playoffs. He has a much less important role in the offense, he’s younger and fresher than Eckler and in theory can recover quicker, and most importantly, he’s doing a really good job.
 
Pretty strong signal that we really are determined to win this game and be the 6th seed. I would've thought the natural inclination would've been to wait until the playoffs to bring him back.

I’d guess that he will be on a very limited snap count. Want him to get his legs back under him, but don’t want to risk much in order to have him fit next week.
 
I'm sure you're right Slot, thinking probably is give him a limited number of snaps to work off some rust and be ready to go full-time in the playoffs. It will be very interesting to see if he and JD can go right back to the chemistry and timing we saw prior to Ekeler getting hurt.

This was the corresponding roster move to activating Ekler. They had to release or IR somebody so they IRed Tyler Owens. That meant they didn’t have to fuss with the RBs, because now they have a glut of RBs on the 53: Robinson, Ekler, McNichols and CRod.

I bet one do them will be a game day inactive. And I think that’s going to cause some folks to lose their mind.

I was wondering if they were going to release CRod again. I doubted it, becuase he’s been good, but 4 RBs on a 53 is a lot.
 
Its always about their special teams impact. We KNOW they are not going to let Ekler return and we know McNichols can tackle....maybe CRod has a talent we haven't touched on yet.

Plus, the last Cowgirls game was difficult at the spot because BRob went down on that first run and just wasn't the same.
 
Bobby Price is a good special teams player, I hope he helps out in containing Turpin who is Dallas’ major threat with Lamb shut down.
 
I hope Turpin doesn’t get a chance to touch the ball on special teams.
