2024 Roster Updates

From his bio it appears extra points are going to be a real adventure with Seibert.

Chris like you mentioned in another post I wonder when we will hear from the coordinators. My guess is they are being sheltered until we see more positive results. Just an educated guess.

Well, that defense certainly didn't look like the controlled aggression and chaos that they promised us win or lose.

Emmanuel Forbes looked dazed and confused as ever. Two penalties on one play? :ROFLMAO:

He promised we would see another version of the player in 2024, apparently he is a good con man when inside the building in Ashburn.

In the end though we might as well cut him now and save ourselves the grief.

One thing I think we DO know is he is never going to live up to being a mid to high first round pick and top coverman.

Around the NFL it is the usual circumstance to let #1 picks hang around for a number of years and parade through several teams training camps and practice squads before they exit the league to sell used cars.

Looks like the team got the message. 😎

I don't know the injury is a blow to the secondary, to be honest.

That said, I hope he recovers quickly, someone steps up and takes the spot and Emmanuel finds a new home in the NFL, a win-win for everyone.

They are saying it's not a given he has to go on IR.

Is he worth keeping on the active roster for a period of weeks to recover from the injury?

I suspect if Forbes is IRed then that means the coaches are giving up on him.

Why should he have to miss any time? He’s never close enough to the ball to get his thumb on it anyway.

Poor kid. He gets drafted in Round 1 at 167 pounds and is labeled by Ron as a playmaker and game changer on the field.

Meanwhile his size alone should have made him a late second to third round pick to be developed over time.

Instead he is put out there as a starter in the opener last year.

You don’t have to be Ron Wolf to see that he is nowhere near ready to start as Christian Gonzalez who was taken one pick later.

Gonzalez is a true first rounder. Good size, strength, ability to cover as well as support the run.

You would think Quinn and Peters would see this and based on the offseason work put Forbes in position to learn and grow as depth player or trade/release him.

To me they are just compounding the original mistake by starting him again right away.

I think Dan Quinn knows what he has and understands what this kid is. But he can't justify cutting a first round pick from last year this quickly without showing that he can't fix him
