Good Morning!

welcome home bro!

im single..she got her period and lost her mind. got all pissed off at me beecause "i touched her stereo and said 'i dont want to listen to this'" when she was CLEARLY listening to Lady Gaga and I was being an insensitive jerk.

everyone keeps saying she will be back when she is over this..but honestly, if this is how it is every month do I really want to go thru this?

Umm...who needs it!?!?! :insane: You'll be a'ight. Good to see ya bro! I was trying to meet up with HH while I was out there, but he did not leave his number on the message he left and of course I threw my phone against the curb a few weeks back and lost his number. :stupid:

Great trip though!

Good morning everybody! Man, you guys make for some fascinating reading.:book:

El, just out of curiosity, what river in WV were you on? I've driven through WV a few times and am a geography nut (according to some, just a nut, period. LOL!).

HH, good luck on the job, man-great benefits package, especially the free tuition part!

Mike, glad the knee's doing o.k. I hate to tell you this but stuff like that gets more frequent as we start piling on the years. Sorry.

Oh, the girl thing? From my experience, understanding women is not included in the male operating instructions. :whoknows::)

Everybody else, have an excellent day!:)

...

Serv, I am a bit of the geography nut myself. We launched in Paw Paw, WV on the Upper Potomac River and traveled 41 river miles over 4 full days of paddling (canoes) to Hancock, MD. We caught a massive amount of small mouth bass, but were unable to land any wall-eye or the ever elusive tiger-muskie.

One of the better parts of the trip is the place we stock up on ice midway through the trip. It is a small general store/bar/restaurant/arcade where you feel like you're stepping back in time called Bill's in Little Orleans, MD.

It is a great time. I take this trip every 3rd Sunday of July with some of my best friends, going back as far as middle school. There were 6 guys on the trip I went to High School with over 20 years ago.

I have an interview for a REALLY good job on Thursday. It's at a local university, as a dispatcher for their police department.

How did the interview go, Hog-o-rama? Did you play the jugs for them? HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

It went well. Thanks. And thanks servum. Great benefits package indeed! No jugs though. I felt like it was too soon to drop that on 'em. I did treat 'em to a little washboard though. :elvis:

We'll see how it goes. I expect the background to take a while. My background for the PD I used to work for took several months. I'm blanketing the entire town with resumes and applications today and tomorrow, just to find SOMETHING until this job hopefully comes through.

Anyway, BGO, I hope each of you is happy and healthy; and ready for camp to open next week! Best to you all!!!!

Mike, I think we all face that decision at times. I know I have. Just like the good "all or nothing" guy I used to be, I joined a church about 7 years ago with all the fervor of an empty soul searching desperately to fill it. I went in and volunteered for everything. I thought that by working my arse off at the church, I would be saved from the turmoil inside. I walked away from that church having a sour taste in my mouth, largely because of what I expected.

What I learned is that like with everything else in my life, there had to be moderation. Sometimes I still drop F bombs, I am still judgemental at times, I still have a temper, I still love women (a lot), and I still can be gluttonous. I am sure I am missing something.

I thought I had to be perfect. I figured out the hard way I can't! So, grow up! Start learning to save money! Start looking to buy a home of your own! Do those things adults do! But Mike, don't lose sight of who you are in the process. You can do these things while still having fun. Just understand it is a process not an event. That was the hardest lesson for me to learn.

Good Morning everyone! Off to training camp and wanted to wish you all a great day!

Mawnin' everyone!

Had some canteloupe for breakfast and it is off to the gym soon.

Have a great Friday.

Good morning all! This is my first day back to work after a long arduous 6 weeks of traveling, a trip Florida, river trip through WV and trip to Ocean City, MD w/ the fellas! Glad it's only part time for the next 3 weeks as we prepare for the busiest time of the year, the fall, so I can enjoy the rest of the summer. Maybe a trip with the Misses to NYC for a weekend.

Anyway, off to photograph the University of Maryland Football players. Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Dyed my hair bright lime green yesterday to raise money for the Boys and Girls club.
Charity feels good..

Mike, you do realize I'm going to be sorely disappointed if you don't post a pic, don't you?!? :)

Good morning everyone. I am feeling very grateful this morning as I prepare to go visit a friend who is incarcerated. He made some foolish mistakes and has lost his freedom because of it. So I am grateful today to enjoy the freedom to drive down there to see him, then leave when the visit is over.

my office smells like hops and I am down almost 30 pounds. my hair is bright green and my body is sore from working out. i took the day off of work yesterday (scheduled) and when i came back there were problems that they felt only i could take care of. i am very grateful.

Congrats on the weight loss, brother. And on being valued the way you are at work. Though I can say with certainty that they don't value you nearly as much as your friends do.

Have a great day everyone! Looking at a not as hot day here in the DC area as the Skins prepare for the Ravens in pre-season play. I am a bumbling idiot because I changed plans last week thinking the game today was a Friday night game so I will not be attending. :square:

Congrats on the weight loss Mike! Now just don't do what I did and put half the weight you took off, back on. I lost 30 back in the spring and have put 15 back on.

Afternoon, BGO. Hope everyone's day is off to a good start.

My schedule for today:

Draft my brother's fantasy team at 2.

Off to my niece's third birthday party at 5.

Redskins/Bristol race at 7/7:30.

Should be a good day.

:)

Headed out to my first school photo shoot this morning. Been the utility man for the company over the years shooting mostly sports and other stuff, now I get to enter a new realm, school photography. Joy!

Have a great day everyone!
