The 2025 Free Agency Thread

 
Don’t know much about Deatrich Wise Jr., but he sounds like a high character guy and a great value in terms of production for the money. Does anybody remember his dad playing?

You have to give Adam Peters a lot of credit, he has a knack for finding guys who will fit in and contribute.
 
Man Kupp would be a nice get for us. Versatile, can play in slot and out wide. I can see Jayden hitting him with quick throws all day. Good dude. Hard worker. I know he has had injuries, but still think he has some gas left in the tank. As long as the price tag isn't outrageous, would be worth the investment. Imagine adding Deebo and Kupp as chess pieces to an already prolific offense. Then add a dynamic RB in the draft. Wow!!

I'm hoping we can add Kupp for an incentive-laden deal. Play x number of games and get an extra several million. He might take a one year prove-it deal at this point. It gives him flexibility too.

Today was a great day. Love the Jones and Wise signings. Mariota showed he can be successful in this offense. Hope Goldman can be a contributor for us. We need big boys to step up if we are going to beat Philly.

If we get a solid WR (please Kupp), we can go into the draft without the feeling we have to reach. We still have areas that need to be upgraded no doubt, but I feel some holes just filled up a bit today.
 
Clearly AP and DG wanted changes after last year. Many of our FAs we did not resign. Hopefully we are getting stronger
 
People are going to moan and groan about the vet experience Peters is bringing in through FA, but that is exactly the point of it. Find guys who can add a bit to the mix and help keep us afloat while the main core of the team is built through the draft. Currently, I really like how things are shaking out. AP has acquired young foundational pieces at all three levels of the defense in not even two complete off-seasons in Luvu, Sainristril, and Newton. On the offensive side, there is obviously Jayden (the cornerstone piece), Coleman, and you cross your fingers that Sinnott becomes part of the long-term core too. I think in the draft, in no particular order, we will aim to add a DE, another DB, and RB to that foundational youth group with our first three picks. At the end of the day though, Peters will not be judged long term based on how well these 28-31 year old short term FA additions perform. It will be the draft choices that determine his fate and that is fair given that he has stated on several occasions that this is how you properly build your franchise. So far so good, Adam. :)
