Very similar to BRob, IMO. Big guy, decent open field speed, but runs tall, needs lanes to open, not a lot of wiggle, and not a big presence in the passing game.

Me, I’d be looking for a complement to BRob, with passing game viability, and breakaway speed.

If we are looking at possibly trading for Myles Garrett, especially multiple 1sts, I really think we need to grab a quality OT in the 1st this year. I'd hate to go into 2 years with no 1st, without adding one more solid tackle.

If they are trading firsts then we won't have one this year. Next year's first is the equivalent of a 2nd this year.

Rookie years lie (except JD5. That shits legit). Andrew Thomas was horrible his rookie year, he's one of the best LTs now, when healthy. He also blossomed under Bobby Johnson

My gut:
1. Pray he works out at LT
2. If not I can see him at RT
3. He can always be a very good G

My hope:
1. Only would work in a pinch
2. Lets try him here in the off and preseason
3. Worst case is a good starter here

I actually think Brandon Coleman outperformed expectations this season and his outlook is really bright. He had his dominant games as well as some rookie ones, but counter that against no training camp, two foot surgeries, and probably not enough time in the weight room because of the rehab he was allowed to do and we may have seen Coleman at his worst.

I want to see him back at left tackle. At the very least I don't want him unseated without him having a chance to fight for his position.

But free agency will be telling as to whether Peters and Johnson agree with that.

I hope LT is their #1 priority, however they decide it should be addressed. There are more receiver options than there are LT options

I think a lot of people, me included, think that Garrett is more likely to be traded after the draft. In which case we'd be trading 1st from the next two years.

I think the biggest question now is how serious is Myles Garrett. Is he telling the Browns that he'll sit out if they don't trade him or is it simply a trade request? If it's the former, that puts even more pressure to get this done and gives trading teams a little more leverage. The price is going to be high to get him, but I think smart GMs will put a cap on how high they are willing to go.

I do like Conerly--but also like Mbow, Ersery, if Josh Simmons drops to us, we sprint to that podium. If we can get Mbow in the 2nd, I would love to get Walter Nolan, Kenneth Grant would be great in our run defense, I wouldn't be mad at Emeka Egbuka, James Pearce, Mike Green. The nice thing is we can be very flexible and take BPA--since we need help everywhere.

My assumption is that Simmons is gone by the time we pick. Otherwise, something may seriously be wrong with his knee.

I love Grant and would take him if Simmons and Conerly aren’t there

I think there’s a path to the Browns cleaning their cap situation before the draft to make this possible. They should cut Conklin anyway and restructure others

I prefer Sampson over anyone in this draft not named Jeanty. Henderson may have a weight advantage, but that is due to the height difference. And Henderson runs too upright. Give me Sampson and his lower center of gravity. He is the most explosive back in this draft. IMO, he is the second best back in this draft!!

Sampson isn’t the pass protector Henderson is and I think Henderson and Henderson protects the ball better. I love Henderson’s intangibles too but I acknowledge Sampson is strong here too

I think the Super Bowl simultaneously made the case for both weapons and o line.

O line: Maholmes was scrambling and feeling pressure all night. There was no time to get off a deep shot or make use of his weapons.
Weapons: Chiefs, like the Commanders, didn't put enough stress on the Eagles D and had too few players that could really challenge them.

I'd upgrade the O line first because if you can't run the ball and you can't pass protect then it doesn't matter how good your receivers are.

The Chiefs had much better weapons than Washington. They have Juju, Worthy, Hollywood, Hopkins, Watson as receivers plus ran into injury issues throughout the year with Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice on the IR. They ran into weird stuff with Edwards-Helaire and on and off injuries to Pacheaco and Hunt. Kelce's slow down has been evident over the year and hopefully he retires because quite frankly, I am sick of him and the Swifties. He still can be deadly with the way he and Mahomes work together.

I am not arguing we need big upgrades at OL or weapons, we desperately need both. We also need to create the pressure Mahomes felt. That comes from improvements on our DL and in the backfield.

Another year and AP, Quinn and company should have this team really aimed in the right direction. I look forward to this off-season more than any in years.

It’s going to be smart decisions—they’re not going to go guns blazing, spending ass ton amounts of money. I don’t expect Tee Higgins or Ronnie Staley honestly. Depends a lot on how they feel about Brandon Coleman.
