We didn’t just get Jahan though - right? They obviously know that sticking at 11 gives them the chance to draft a (theoretically) better player. They calculated they could add a very good WR AND get more Day 2 picks in a pretty deep draft.
Until we know what that results in it is impossible to say this was a mistake imho.
This is where I am at as well.
It could be argued that maybe they are taking a bit if a lesser player in Dotson compared to Olave/Williams for instance. However, a fairly comparable grade for Dotson, with the addition of another potential contributor in round 3 and 4 potentially makes this team better overall and more capable of competing in the division immediately in 2022. Sure, we could have walked away with Williams, but in the absence of the extra picks, does it move the needle much? One thing I do know is it sure makes for great debate. In the meantime, they just need to win to shut us all up
