I can't decide if this is a depth signing or if they project him to start.

He was over-drafted by the Raiders in 2019 and hasn't ever lived up to where he was taken.

Well, he did start the season for the 49ers in 2023. The fact he MADE THE ROSTER in San Francisco last year puts him miles ahead of Smith-Williams and Toohill and Obada, who would have been training camp cuts.

I think he will be part of a rotation. He's only 26 even though he's a 5 year veteran as he was drafted when he turned 21. So, he's got some time.

If all of the additions make the 53, 43% of the roster will have turned over. That’s with the Draft coming and FA still continuing.

Sometimes changing the culture means changing who you are traveling with.

I have removed ‘culture’ from my vocabulary. I’ve replaced it with ’tone’. 😉

That probably means we will turn over half the roster in one year. That's crazy. I remember thinking at the top of the '23 season that we had some talent. I liked the three receivers, BRob and Gibson, our Dline, and thought we had a strong safety group and adequate to good corners. I was mainly worried about linebacker and oline.

Turns out I was wearing burgundy colored glasses over a burgundy colored visor in a burgundy colored house.

I still maintain that we had all that burgold. What we lacked was adequate coaching to put those players in a position to succeed.
