I just love how everyone assumes Bieniemy is not just a done deal but the next wildly successful OC.

These people amuse me because its obvious they have forgotten this is Washington, where nothing is every easy.

Like Scott Abraham has any clue which OC candidate is the right one. No one knows, but especially not that guy…

I posted that because of Joe Banner‘s tweet. He just might know a thing or two.

Does anyone know of a list of the teams Bieniemy has interviewed with for Head Coaching positions? I've been looking for a complete list on-and-off all day and I can't find one.

What I have so far is:

2023 - Indianapolis Colts

2022 - Denver Broncos
2022 - New Orleans Saints

2021 - Atlanta Falcons
2021- NY Jets
2021 - Detroit Lions
2021 - Los Angles Chargers
2021 - Jacksonville Jaguars

Sounds like they are getting deep into the details. I wonder if that means Bienemy is trying to assemble his staff in addition to just signing on.

I hate to be a cold bath on a somewhat exciting development but man this feels like Dan Snyder trying to re-envigorate the fanbase.. i know that's the cynic in me, but the heat on him has cooled, and there are reports that the sale is not rolling with the momentum we may have hoped... i really hope this isn't a desperate play by a desparate man to deflect the fanbase into hope again.

For the record I think Snyder has passed the point of no return regarding the sale... i don't think he can afford to keep the franchise, but my terrible gut wonders if this is a ploy to buy more time.

If he does end up signing here does that mean the end of Zampese? Not sure he’d want to stay and work for the he lost the job to. I’d like to see the whole offensive staff rebooted perhaps with the exception of Jennifer King

If there had been a Ron Rivera firing and hiring of Sean Payton at record salary, I’d be worried. But this isn’t a ‘splash’ move - we just have fans who overreact wildly to change.

Not that far-fetched to think that it is an attempt by Rivera to reinvigorate the fan base and a ploy to buy himself more time.

The MJW investigation surely must have been completed in the full year since she was assigned. There must be some powerful IEDs in there that are being reserved for use if Snyder tries to worm his way out of a sale.

We don’t even really know if Zampese even wanted the job to be honest

I'm still ambivalent on EB as the new OC here, for all the reasons I've stated. If he's hired, I can live with that in 2023, and will hope we don't end up with drama after next year if/when Ron is no longer the HC. If he's not hired, I can live with that too, and will watch with interest who does get the gig in 2023, and how that plays out next year if/when Ron is no longer the HC.

The thing I've been watching with even more interest the last few days is that I have yet to hear that Dan has been involved in any of these meetings/interviews. That's actually pretty big news, if true. I keep circling back to stories of Dan hosting prospective hires at his house all these years, taking them out to dinner, etc., and basically doing his best Jerrah impression. Am I right that all the reports out there have been strictly that EB is meeting with Ron?

I'm not sure there are many offensive coaches worth feeling attached, too. Matsko seems to have done pretty well cobbling a line together when injuries devastated it. Dotson emerged as a rookie, but Brown hasn't, and Samuel isn't what we hoped he might be. Tight end coach feels like a disappointment. Logan regressed. Bates hasn't stepped up. We saw some rookies flash in preseason, but then disappear in real games.

Is Zampese a keeper? QB has been a weak spot for years. Now, it's hard to make a gourmet meal shopping at the Dollar Store and we can agree that Heinicke overproduced, but do we really think Zampese is great at what he does? I think I like our running back coach, but how much better is Gibson today than he was as a rookie? The coaches all but gave up on Antonio in the first half of the season and he was pretty much our only running back.

I have personally not seen one report about Snyder being involved at any level. Probably there is no wifi where he is hiding out.

Rivera and Reid have talked?

I am sure Reid can't be happy to lose his OC for the same job he had with you.
