Redskins Get #2 Pick!

Bulldog and Ryman haven't liked anything we've done the last 15-20 years...so what's new?

I never got to see our last franchise QB,Sonny, play...except in clips. I'm so glad that we have a chance to get that guy now!!!!

My 5 yr old son won't have to ask "Who throws the ball for the Redskins Dad?" at the start of EVERY freakin season now...he'll know,cause he'll be here for ten years!!!!

Can't wait to see where Redskins' One will be tracking next week. My biggest interest now is who will be protecting Andrew Luck and who will he be throwing to. ;)

Nate Potter is a target in the fourth round. Not sure what we do in the third round, but getting a solid ZBS guard should not be a problem.

How much you wanna bet that we make a very serious run at Carl Nicks now?

I really do not see us going after Carl Nicks. Dude is going to want too much money. He has already said he wants to be the highest paid guard. Money that Shannahan never pays to lineman.

Well the Colts recently drafted Castonzo and I believe they still have Austin Collie. :)

I thought that the Steve Hutchison deal in Minnesota was kinda steep when they made it, but he instantly made that line much better! If he is standing next to Trent Williams on the line, TW automatically gets better and Will Montgomery gets better!

Someone as good as Nicks will make the whole line better, except the RT. We still need to address that position and now that we don't have a 2nd round pick, I wonder what we will do since the Free Agency market is thin at the Tackle position.

From what I can tell, this is how our next 3 drafts shake out:

2012: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th

2013: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th

2014: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th

I still think we can build with that. We won't fill all of our holes this year but between FA and the draft, we can fill some holes and build depth. We just have to make sure we protect our new franchise QB and give him targets in order to succeed. This move could definitely help in FA.

We have an extra fifth in 2013. All in all, we still have a lot of draft picks. FA will help where needed.

My brother called me right before I walked onto the tennis court for a match and I started screaming and jumping around. They looked at me like I was a lunatic. I didn't care. They can have their Tim Tebow...I get RG3!!!

Funny. Except that I've always had a soft spot for the Browns and more importantly because we were where that guy was not too long ago. Even so, I'm glad it's not one of us ranting on youtube after getting the shaft.
 
Now I can only hope that the Colts take RG3, but if we do take him, I will of course cheer for me to be wrong, I just havent been wrong very often.

A bold move to potentially secure a franchise player at the most important position in the sport. And not only a franchise player but a young franchise player.

When was the last time we had that? Joe Frickin' Theismann?

Is there a chance that Griffin busts? Of course. And if he does, are we any worse off than we've been for most of the past twenty years? Nope.

I feel bad for the kid. Whether it's Griff, or Luck.

With the desperation of Redskins Nation, and the price paid, anything short of at least 1 Super Bowl VICTORY, will mean he cost too much. Anything short of a few Championship Game WINS, will mean he's a bust.

As I've said often, I don't care who we get, or where/how we get him. As long as he can play. Today, they're still rookies that haven't a damn thing, yet.

Note: If Cerrato made this kind of move, we'd be watching his dead broken body being dragged through the streets of DC to cheers of Dimwit Nation, on the Ten O'clock News.

I feel for them to an extent but its not like they can go all out and sign Matt Flynn that some how assumed would be a good fit for their WCO due to the Packer ties with their GM.

You know as well as I do that just because a player is coveted, it doesn't mean they're not worthless. Shuler, Leaf, Carr, Leinart, Jeff George, Vince Young, Joey harrington, Tim Couch, David Klingler Akili Smith, Rick Mirer, Jamarcus Russell.......just because a guy is high on peoples lists, doesn't mean he's worth the paper his name is written on.
