What's the BEST Western You've Ever Seen?

good, the bad and the ugly or high plains drifter.never saw a bad john wayne or eastwood western either.once upon a time in the west with bronson was great too.

Once Upon a Time in the West should be on any list. Henry Fonda plays one of the scariest bad guys ever (right up there with Javier Bardem in 'No Country for Old Men')

The Searchers. Amazing.

Treasure of the Sierra Madre

A Fistful of Dollars. This is actually a remake of a Kurosawa film called 'Yojimbo'.

My wife nominates 'Red River'. John Wayne and Montgomery Clift. Pretty great one as well.

Do comedies count?
I like city slickers.
I would love to do exactly what they did someday, of course without all the death and danger, lol.

Back to the future 3 is another one that doesn't fall Into the classic western style movie but it's definitely a good movie.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid will always be #1 to me. Tombstone, The Wild Bunch, The Outlaw Josey Wales are up there too.

Also the 2016 True Grit was fantastic. Much better than the John Wayne version, imo.

Edit..forgot to mention..El Mariachi.
