You guys are killing me. Being on a beer vacation sucks. I'm trying to drop 20-25 lbs and it's a lot tougher to do with beer in the diet. So, staying away for a bit. Probably the only hard thing about it - I have zero problem cutting out junk food, fast food, high cal food. But I do love good beer.

I have been out there a couple of times. Went to Stone, Blind Lady, Tiger Tiger. I also was on business trip a few years ago where I stayed near the gaslamp district and went to one bar 4 nights in a row. Can't remember the name of that place......

Beer mecca here. We are over 100 breweries now.

It was in the gas lamp district because I walked from the hotel to the bar. It was sorta divey but I liked it. It was at least 10 years ago.

No judging here. Ciders can be very good but I tend to like the drier ones rather than the sweet ones.

We live twenty minutes from Bold Rock's Cidery. Fantastic stuff. They just released a Pear Cider that is amazing. Can't wait for summer, very refreshing.

This summer, I am going to take the 5 gallons of mead I made a year ago with my own honey, and I'm going to make a melomel with it. Melomel is just mead with the addition of fruit. I did a blueberry melomel last year that turned out pretty well. This summer, I am thinking of doing a peach melomel with fresh ripe peaches. I can't imagine that wouldn't be pretty awesome...
