Watched wonder woman 1984 - completely disappointed. Just really bad in my opinion, but I won't push it on to anyone else

Watched Safety on disney plus. It's a true story about a player on Clemson..that's all I'll say. It's a really really good movie.

Watched Soul on disney plus as well. Extremely well done like most of their new movies are.

Saw safety, liked it. Very little football though, but the story is great

I watched WW84 yesterday, it was a complete mess, convoluted, disjointed and just all over the place, and it was long, I forced myself to finish it after an hour it had already lost my attention.

Yeah, very little football. He wasn't a superstar, either. But, thats Disney for ya. Even Remember The Titans has very little football in it.

did you start Mando yet?

Loved Mando this season.

Anyone else wonder why they call him Mando when it's supposed to be short for Mandalorian?

Maybe because it is easier to call him that Mando. Just my two cents worth. As possibly only loved ones call him that.

Ted Lasso on Apple TV.

Thoroughly enjoyable silly story with great writing. I had no interest in watching it but tried one episode to kill some time. Glad I did.

We don't have Apple TV and feel like I am missing out on a couple shows. Is this worth another cost?

I have an Apple Music subscription so adding TV+ was only an additional $5 a month.

I did the 30 day free trial in order to watch the Springsteen movie. I then watched a couple of their original series and enjoyed them all. There is not a lot of content yet but what there is is top notch.

Speaking of Bruce, I watched this on Netflix last night. Absolutely amazing how much one person changed music and "discovered" so many different acts.

"that range from Kenny G to Notorious BIG...thats quite a distance"

I watched a similar documentary recently on 'The Wrecking Crew'. The Wrecking Crew were a group of studio musicians who played on an incredible number of hits in the 60's, 70's, and beyond. A ton of the music you have listened to in your life has them playing in the background (including about half of the Beach Boys songs you've ever heard). Literally thousands of songs they played on and no one knows one of their names. They are Rock and Roll HOFers. Worth a watch.

I also recently watched a documentary on the Unibomber. What a loser this guy was. They try to attribute his psycho crimes to either him being 'abandoned' as an infant for 2 weeks when he was hospitalized and separated from his parents, or to a 3 year research project he participated in while at Harvard where a researcher said mean and belittling things to him. Me? I say he was just an evil, pathetic, psycho. I also don't think his bomb-making had anything to do with eco-terrorism or the anti-technology movement. It was him lashing out at the world because he was a pathetic loser who couldn't make meaningful connections with other people. You'll feel sorry for his family watching this one though as they seem like good people, especially his brother who was responsble for him finally being identified and captured.

Totally agree. I didn't think it would be worth it. I only gave it a shot because my fraternity brother is one of the creators. Turns out I think it's one of the best things he's done because it really mixes in comedy with some good drama. I didn't see that coming.

Cobra kai released this morning

Two episodes away from being done now.

So good.

Just finished it up. It's a good release to watch it, although if you didn't grow up with Karate Kid, it would mostly be for the CW network crowd. It can be a little campy and the storyline a little unbelievable. But it's fun to see flashbacks, the cameos from old characters, and Johnny's view of what happened in the movies. Johnny's the best character...a man perpetually stuck in the 80s, but you feel for him.

I'm glad Ralph Macchio is producing this, but the man still can't act. ;-)

Johnny and Daniel are producing it, along with Will Smith. We thought that was pretty interesting.

I think the campiness is intentional to keep the 80s feel to it. But, yeah, sometimes I groan at it myself.

Interesting...I didn't realize Johnny was involved too. Will Smith must have been a Karate Kid fan. :) I can get past the campiness and when you do so you realize there's actually some pretty good messaging happening in the storylines. Have you finished the season yet?

I didn't realize I was watching the last episode and I was gearing up for a fight and then bam....see ya next season. I guess it makes sense though where they stopped. Liked the origin story of Kreese too.
