Well, Locklear is healthy abd started 78 games at RT. Brown still has to show he is 100 percent and can transition to being as good on the right as we was on the left side in New Orleans.

I was hoping our release of Rabach and move of Montgomery to C would help with these issues. Apparently not.

I really hope the FA is taking notice of this and makes drafting OL a priority in next year's draft (and not just in the later rounds, either).

The D always seems to come together far faster then the O side. I'm not worried just yet. Many of the new faces have only practiced 3 times with the unit.

There's plenty of time to panic once we're around week 5 or 6.

I expect the Redskins as a team that gutted its roster and is essentially starting over in 2011 to be slow out of the gate. The first 4-5 games of the season are not going to be pretty. But unlike last year when we finished 2-7 I think this team will end on a much better note with hope for the 2012 season.

Roy helu struggling in blitz pickups. #redskins

to be expected. hard to do...requires detailed knowledge of defenses and o-line adjustments/schemes.

key here is how physical he is...and how intelligent he is.

Agreed. I think we may end up missing CP more than we think, for this reason.

Kellen Clemmens running 2 minute drill against no D. Struggling to hit WRs in stride.

There's a dude in head to toe Cowboys gear here. He's still standing. Come on Skins fans get to work.

WTF???????

I don't think Portis has been much of a factor the last couple of years. He has been injured more than healthy. I will agree when healthy he was one of the best RB in the league picking up a blitz but I think Hightower will be better than average in that department.

As for Clemens... he could get beat out by one of the UDFA for the 3rd QB.

QB Rex Grossman lofted a high-arching pass to TE Fred Davis, who caught the ball in stride in front of 2 defenders in the back of end zone.

Observers made the same comments about Beck as they are here about Clemens. But the fans think Clemens could be cut for a UDFA while Beck is going to be the starter? :)

ugggh! let's hope it's lack of OTA practice.

Well, at least everybody's in pretty much the same boat in that respect.

The thing with the Redskins, with the unusually large number of draft picks and the "salary efficient" way we've worked free agency, is that we have an unusually large number of newbies-either to NFL football in general or to the Redskins in particular and a short span of time in which to make the "keep and play versus send packing" decisions.

Ryan Kerrigan had good coverage and was able to force an imcomplete pass. Kerrigan received praise from London Fletcher: "Way to go, Ryan!"

Landry doing lateral drills with coaches. He looks like he could start today easily. Atogwe is jogging around.

Another nice play by Chris Neild, he fought off block and got an arm on RB Roy Helu on a run to right. Helu fell to the ground.

Santana Moss had step on CB Josh Wilson, but Rex Grossman's pass overthrown. "I would have had it," Moss said. "Oh come on," Wilson replied.

Cooley not practicing again due to a knee injury, and will not play on Friday.

From Albert Breer of NFL Network:

4) Redskins: Shanahan's cleansed the roster, finally has players moving in lockstep. But they're building methodically. Right thing to do.
