I don't know, I don't think they ever gave a reason. I can't remember if he was injured last year or not - but I think he was just released because they weren't happy with his play? Who knows...

Beck is doubtful? I've been out of the loop with work the last couple of days, but didn't see that anywhere.

Apparently that groin injury he suffered is limiting his lateral movement enough that Shanahan doesn't want to take chances on aggravating it until it is healed enough not to affect Beck's mobility.
