The Bombshell

Ugh. Truly, truly disgusting. What a horrid environment for any woman to go through. Recording secretly?? WTF. Illegal.

If the NFL doesn't step in w/ this just being the latest thing - compounding on everything else, then they'll never step in. Snyder is directly mentioned in this piece, maybe this will ultimately lead to his Jerry Richardson moment and be forced out.

I’m no Jenkins or Steinberg or WP fan. But the truth is the truth. I hope all you guys and gals will tweet your disgust to the NFL and Goodell and demand this piece of garbage be removed from the ownership ranks.

I have a feeling that there is more.... even if this doesn't push it over the edge, it's very likely the minority owners have more ammunition. This could be a war that were just seeing the first bullets fly.

I'm not even going to worry about how the WaPo treats him now. He should be forced to sell like Donald Sterling was.

This is so calculated. There is no practice today if I'm not mistaken so ALL the local reporters are going all in on this. There is a serious campaign by some serious people to get him out.

This all would explain why LaFemina was ousted so quickly. If he went back to the NFL with this info and they did nothing....

5. Attempts to change the culture were squashed

Some of the women who used to work for the team said the human resources department was inadequate and did not enforce allegations of harassment. Several employees said they hoped the culture would change in 2018, when Snyder hired Brian Lafemina, a senior vice president at the NFL, as the franchise’s president of business operations and chief operating officer.

One former employee, Rachel Engleson, a senior director of marketing and client services, said she took complaints about harassment from Michael to Lafemina and two of Lafemina’s deputies, who she described “as horrified.” Lafemina was fired eight months after joining the team.
Michael denied Engleson’s allegations but admitted to making one inappropriate remark to her.

This is the best news this franchise has had in 20 years. And the only thing that would keep me watching the team going forward.

We never stood a chance of ever winning again as long as this loser was in charge of the organization. He's a cheap pos who never placed a premium on actually doing what's necessary to compete in the league today.

Best.

Day.

Ever.

In any normal world Snyder would already have been ousted. It would boggle my mind if these latest revelations didn’t get him gone. But we are talking about the devil and the soulless NFL here, so I’m not yet convinced we’ll be rid of him.

Owning a team has proven to be the closest thing to guaranteed riches that currently exists in the sports world today. I'm sure that little jerkoff is going to scramble to do everything in his power to keep it within the family. Pass it to his kids, etc.

Obviously, we don't want anyone in that family owning any part of the team and relying on Dan's influence going forward.

Just wow - the cheerleader thing in the tunnel ... the cheerleader escort scandal ... history of no accountability and mass dismissals of staff over and over which seem to have the added bonus of making those in power who stay seem untouchable ....

There is NO WAY Daniel Snyder didn't know about any of this. And when this stuff has broken into news in the past - such as the Cheerleader Escort thing ... why wasn't HR expanded and external reviews / investigations conducted and so forth.

Dan Snyder only does the right thing when someone threatens his wallet. He doesn't know how to do the right thing based on the moral imperative. He has no moral compass. He should be tossed immediately if we are to have any accountability. Otherwise the NFL sends the message that its fine to enable, condone, and indirectly contribute to shady misgivings as long as you aren't directly involved like Jerry Richardson. That is not the right message ever.

It doesn't matter if this was stirred by any minority owner he is suing ... the two are mutually exclusive ... just because the minority owner's may want him gone and may have stirred the pot doesn't take away from the fact that this is Dan Snyder's pot ... he made this. He hired the people doing this and he has had enough information to do the right thing if he wanted to.

Oh - he is on the same level as Jerry Richardson now If the allegations are true. Pressuring an employee to sleep with a VIP while on the clock is as bad as anything Richardson did.

Yes indeed - I hadn't gotten to that part as I don't have subscription to the Washington Post and hadn't read the ESPN article when I posted last. But with that as well as the potential for a nude behind the scenes video .... 2 things may be leaving soon ... Dan from the team and Tanya from Dan

One thing I am a bit worried about here is that I am a big fan of what Rivera is doing here. When the David Tepper came to Carolina - he fired Rivera mostly because Rivera wasn't his guy - he wanted to have his own stamp on things. I hope that doesn't happen here. I really like what we've been doing in the off season so far (from a football standpoint)

This definitely seems like a very calculated & concerted effort to shame Dan out. Whether he’s connected to it or not, with the stigma associated one would think he’ll take the out either way. Regardless, it’s mind boggling how harassment is still happening in a modern workplace in this day and age. Especially within a billion $ enterprise with lawyers strewn throughout the facility.

I still think Bezos emerges as the eventual owner tho, just a gut feeling. I wouldn’t be too shocked if he has a hand in a takeover. Dan’s a shit owner who deserves to be forced out & shunned, however ‘if’ Bezos is the eventual owner he’s a pos as well just in different terms.

I said it weeks ago. I would be SURPRISED if Bezos doesn't end up owning this team Jan 1. Way too many dots can be connected.
