One of the things that rings untrue to me is this line that Snyder is blocking Bezos from bidding. I can see him saying, "No matter what I'm not accepting this guy's bid," since this isn't an auction and the highest bid doesn't automatically win. Still, I'm not sure BoA would not accept Bezo's bid if he made one. Not only would it be counterproductive it just seems unreasonable. I suppose it's possible that Snyder could go to his investment bank and present them with a list of guys that he would never accept a bid from and that the bank could then inform those bidders that their bids have been rejected, but otherwise how do you block a bid?
