Somebody posted the presser above.

To my ears, the comment sounded much more benign than the tweets that quoted it.

I could be wrong, but in context, to me, it felt diffent than the way the tweet portrayed it.

And your point about having him on the field more in different heavier sets is a really good one.

Though who was the slot guy Jay tried to bump outside and it never worked because Jay is a no nothing ass clown and he should have seen that coming? I don’t remember but it was a clear guy who was good in the slot, and they tried to make him an outside guy when DJax and Garcon left.

Let’s not do that.

He has has the size. 5 '11, 187. These days the Z doesn't have to be big. Devonta Smith plays Z. Paul Richardson played Z.

And yeah in college he could play outside, he almost split his reps in 2024, his big season, between slot and outside.

But IMO his superpower is quick seperation in between the numbers -- so very tailored towards the slot.

I don’t think so. I just hated Ryan Grant being on the roster entirely.

I’ll see if I can look it up but tomorrow. I have to take my daughter to a swim meet and warm ups start at 6:30. I’m officiating. So I get to disqualify 11-12 year olds and crush their souls and dreams. So I’m going to bed. Crushing souls is tiring work.

lol, I agree with most of your takes. As to where we don't. My takes which are naturally the correct ones...

A. The TE class definitely doesn't suck. You are the outlier on that -- not me. :)

B. David Bailey is a great prospect

C. Reuben Bain is a risk to me.

D. Jordyn Tyson isn't some contested catch monster

E. I guess the new one is while I agree Antonio Williams is a better slot WR -- he has the size (and actually the track record) to play some Z albiet I'd rather he didn't.

But from a zillion draft thougts from both of us, that's not bad? :cool:

The one thing I didn't like about the presser was Peters talking about Anthonio's multiple injuries and how he's tough and played through them. It worries me if he's injured all the time.

Yeah, I think we triggered the run. Sometimes the NFL seems to be that way. Once the first domino of a position falls it becomes a race.

Yeah he has been banged up some, nothing serious as far as injuries, hamstring, shoulder.

I hate to agree with BayouBrave86, and I’m no expert compared to many here, but maybe AJ Hucley.

Maybe a C or CB.

I’m seeing a lot of other receivers in round 3, no idea if Amy of those are better.

I like the pick well enough though.

Most football players are injured all the time, it has to impact their ability to practice for it to even hit the injury report. So toughness in that regard is a good thing, especially for a 190lb guy. Has definitely missed some games though, worth keeping an eye on
