Somebody posted the presser above.There are times when you’d want to motion Terry inside, or Chig out. Nice if Williams had the versatility to not be useless in those cases, can keep the same personnel on the field if you’re in hurry-up. Can avoid having him on the sidelines all the time in 12 personnel if he’s the absolute best 2nd option you have behind Terry. Sounds like a versatility thing maybe. And probably a random comment among very many of them that was just pulled out into that quote as if it was super significant rather than a passing comment
To my ears, the comment sounded much more benign than the tweets that quoted it.
I could be wrong, but in context, to me, it felt diffent than the way the tweet portrayed it.
And your point about having him on the field more in different heavier sets is a really good one.
Though who was the slot guy Jay tried to bump outside and it never worked because Jay is a no nothing ass clown and he should have seen that coming? I don’t remember but it was a clear guy who was good in the slot, and they tried to make him an outside guy when DJax and Garcon left.
Let’s not do that.
