Logan and Craig had Jeremy Greene on Take Command. Best draft guest ever - that guy is hilarious, has watched 540 draft prospects and talks with people who work in the league. He joked that we have the same chance of getting Ezeiraku as Abdul Carter, meaning he thinks Ez goes a lot higher than where the mocks have him and I totally buy it. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes before Green and Pearce given the character concerns.
Yeah like Carter is kinda the perfect prospect, and then you've got 5ish guys who are def first rounder level players but they've all got their warts.
Stewart - production not there. Measurables amazing but can he turn that into actual production/play in the NFL. Also run defense was bad.
Mike Green - sexual assault allegations. There's too much smoke there
Mykel Williams - had more production than Stewart but also only 5 sacks a year so not as much production as people might like (of course a lot of that was scheme, he didn't get to rush the passer as much)
James Pearce Jr. - size is an issue, 6'1" 243, but also questions about his character
Donovan Ez is also a little smaller at 6'2" 248 but insofar as I know doesn't have any other real warts. Has good production, no character issues I'm aware of.
So it would not surprise me in the slightest if he ended up 2nd edge off the board.
Personally I still want Mykel to fall to us bc I think the production issues in terms of pass rushing are just scheme and he's gonna kill it in the NFL but I'm sure that sentiment is not unique to me and he probably goes much higher.
I do hope Mike Green is long gone before 29, and he probably will be, but I don't want us to even have to think about skill vs character.
Jalon Walker would be hype too like Greene was saying on Take Command. But as he notes, I keep seeing him mocked to Carolina.
