The 2025 Draft Thread

The beautiful thing is we don’t have to force a pick.

My assumption is at least some of the one year guys will get extended.

But with Coleman working out and now Lattimore as a CB, there isn’t an obvious gaping hole in the roster.

Peters can literally do anything. What was brilliant about his 2024 off season is he got the team competitive while still buying himself time to draft replacements.

The fact Luvu and Chinn are working out as well as they are, they seemingly hit on Coleman, Sainristill (and others) in the draft, they have basically the entire OL locked up except for maybe RT…

Yeah, they need pieces. But they can build like a normal team rather than having to overhaul the entire roster.

So, with the 32nd pick in the draft, we can literally pick any position and either use it to solidify depth or replace a stop-gap guy.
 
I think we should bring Wagner back, player/coach. Luvu is signed for a few years. I wonder what Chin will cost.

I literally had this same thought. We are doing fine with the pass rush. OL looks good. Coleman, Biadasz, znd Cosmi are a solid foundation. We can grab value where it presents itself. I hope we sign Higgins in FA. I'm curious if we extend BSJ or go out and sign a guy like Charvarius Ward. But, in any case, between what is already in the cupboard, and FA, we should enter the dradt pretty flush.
 
Yeah, I said it before, but with a legit QB (and this dude is more than amazing) the team needs suddenly change in so many ways.

It's going to be fun again.
 
OP updated to reflect 11/5 trade with NO for Lattimore.
 
I think we can scratch an early DB off of our draft now. With Coleman turning out to be a pretty good LT and the rest of the OL stepping up we probably dont go tackle early either. My guess would be an offensive playmaker, LB to replace Wagner or edge early. It shocks me how well Peters built this roster in one season.

I will be active in this thread. As player evaluations and watching tape are my hobby. I hope we can get someone to do an annual BGO draft. Like we used to do on ES. And if anyone has contact info for SIP please try to reach out to him. He would be someone really interested in this thread.
 
I am not sure… they certainly can’t feel great about St. Juste. Not only is he unable to cover NFL WR starters, but he has a history of making terrible decisions off the field. I could easily see them drafting his replacement and moving on from him.

Without a quality 2nd corner, and with Lattimore’s injury history, not sure I’d strike off corner. I do think playmaker and edge are probably higher priorities though.

Here’s hoping Magee pans out.

Sneaky need for me would be a G/C. Someone that can compete with Allegretti and backup both him and Biadasz.

Yeah, I mean, we could have a lot of holes once FA starts (though I expect a number of re-signings prior to that), but we also have a GM that’ll hit those spots hard to free us up for BPA. It’s a good feeling for sure!
