I don't think we're going to have an Eagles fan's chance in a spelling bee of getting Green.
I wouldn't be surprised if he falls to the Eagles and they take him given the sexual assault allegations. Questions about him off the field but apparently his "football character" is high - high motor and not bad against the run.
Personally I would not be all that dissuaded from Mike Green by that - maybe the vert a little but IMO he can get after the QB for sure.
It might by be one of the things that drops him to us. Character concerns and he didn’t run a 4.52 to erase them.
I was listening to Logan Paulsen, again, and he was saying that based on tape review, he hunks Mike Green would be just exactly the kind of edge player that Quinn would covet.
I think Marcus Mbow is going in the 2nd round and don't see him falling past the 3rd. He's one of my favorite OL personally![]()
I like him but I like some others better at the guard spot for this team. Is he going to run? Can't find metrics for him.
1st post 3 time visits with all prospect thus far by 1st tweeter. 2nd is about Auburn TE from KJ (burgundyburner)
what i was getting at is that he is faster than scattebo by 2 tenths of a second, yet still not fast enough to be elite (not running, or processing). He is slow reading the hole and slow getting into it. and half the time reads it wrong completely ang goes the opposite direction he should have. Scattebo would have him beat by a landslide there . . . but he would be closer to 4.7 (if here were willing to run, which is why he won't)Brian Robinson ran faster than Bucky Irving. He ran much faster than Kyren Williams. Both backs are much better than him. For a dude Brian's size running a 4.53 is great. He's faster than Derrick Henry who is a monster.
I think on the thread we are too hung up on speed. I love Treveyon Henderson as much as anyone and he's explosive. And he's more explosive than a bunch of RBs who are faster than him in this class.
Vision-contact balance, stop and go ability, lateral-agily movement among other things are all part of the soup for great running backs.
The issue with power backs aren't purely hey they aren't fast. Look if you can break tackles, have good vision, and great contact balance like Skattebo that's enough to be a really good back. There is a value to wearing defenses down with a dude like that -- and heck singles and doubles aplenty can power an offense.
Robinson on all of those counts is just OK at best. IMO, Robinson is at his best when he adapts that Skattebo style where he won't be denied and the O line really gives him a big hole to plow through and build momentum with his runs. But that dynamic seems to come and go with him. And a three year sample is enough for me -- especially coming off this season where he had the perfect storm in his favor to go beyond his typical mediocre season.
A good example is the Jordan James conversation I just had. He's not per se a power back but he's a singles hitter. But the seas don't have to part for him in a big way for him to get those singles. He's decisive, one cut and go, he accelerates fasts and can get skinny in the hole.

Some of these players will be drafted though.I like to see that they are looking at Free agents who are not drafted. I think we can pick up a few and infuse young talent that way too.
They are spending some time, multiple visits with Wyatt Milum.
Fun watch. Old school kind of lineman. Not the best athlete -- but not bad, good shuttle time.
One of the only O lineman in this class who gave up no sacks. Anchors well, strong hands, mirrors well. And he faced some decent competition. He did all of that playing left tackle. His arms are 32 and change, so not ideal for LT but like others do, I see him as a really good guard.
He has some people mover-mean streak in him as to the run game. Sometimes whiffs in the run game when he's pulling.
In general though i like the transition when it fits to move a left tackle to left guard. You draft someone like him in the 2nd and I think you got an O line that can rival most others.
Has a bit of an attitude in a good way in interviews, talking about not ever wanting to give up sacks and let his QB get hit. You put Tunsil at LT and this dude at LG -- that left side is going to be lock down safe.
Then I watched one of Logan Paulsen's guys Savaiinaea. He played RT. He has the length to stick there. Almost 34 inch arms. Big dude with Great athletic scores, sub 5 40, etc. Freakish ability. Feels like a Coleman kind of pick where you are betting more on upside. Pass rushers with bend gave him some issues, he plays a bit upright, ok versus the run but nothing stood out, one play was one of the worst pull jobs I recall watching any O lineman over the years where he whiffed on his target by a good foot or two. Strong hands when he pushes defenders.
Then I watched Mbow, one of the chic have you watched this dude guy among mock drafters -- Also played RT. Very squatty build -- thick. On the shorter side, muscular. 32 inch arms so he looks like a guard and projected as that. Really smooth when puling and going to the 2nd level. Natural mover in the run game. As a pass protector, he seems to like to really lock in the defender versus always pushing them off -- but he takes it to the extreme to my eyes where he's hugging the defender. Apparently that's not called much in college for penalities but he won't get a way with it the same way in the pros.
He gave up more pressures than every other O lineman I am tracking. Sometimes he loses his balance. He has a bit of a mean streak, pushes dudes around, gives it everything he's got. His size and the fact that he's not the cleanest player in pass pro worries me in this division. Do I want a 303 pounder like him, trying to stop Jalen Carter and Dexter Lawrence?
I can see all three working for different reasons. For this team, I like Milum the most. I get their interest after digesting him. Then I'd go Savaiinea. I am not out on Mbow but he'd be the one I'd worry about as to his fit.
My guy at guard though remains Ratledge who for whatever reason doesn't get the same hype as these dudes. Maybe its cooler to project a tackle to guard then looking at a dude who just flat out plays guard?
