There's not cutup yet of the American Team.

The cutups I'm watching definitely do not have everybody and show every battle. So take all this with a grain of salt.

With how much Dan Quinn loves the safety position, I'd think South Carolina's Nick Emmanwori would be a logical pick at 29..assuming he's still there.

Apparently Luther Burden really wants to play with Jayden. I’d love him here in the Kingsbury offense. He’s a great YAC guy. Speed downfield. Tough. Honestly, he reminds me of Laveranues Coles.

With us being near the bottom of Rd 1, I'm game going after Burden if we have suitors for our Rd 1 pick, trade back into the early 2nd and grab Burden.

Those last few picks in Rd 1 seem to be frequently traded as teams want to jump up and get the falling players.... in a situation like that, I'm game.

Otherwise, I'm not sure we can afford a rd 1 WR when we have more pressing needs.

Is he someone we have interest in or a chance at?

I dunno how embeds work here yet, so here goes nothin':

I wonder how much we can read into this, in terms of position groups. Prior to the Senior Bowl, we had met with 7 RB's, 3 non CB secondary players, 2 WR's, 2 Edge players, 2 OL players, 2 LB's, 1 TE, 1 kicker, 1 IDL. I think one thing it is safe to say, is that we are looking HARD at RB.

Jack Bech is taking over the Senior Bowl
He had a good showing as he did through the week. So did a few of the WR's. Not sure anyone took over the game but there were some that had bigger games. I thought a couple of the RB's and TE's would really shine but that didn't really occur. A few DL had really nice games like Toledos Darius Aexander and Arkansas's Landon Jackson.

No one works harder than Burgundy Burner when it comes to tracking team visits and interest in college players.

Burgundy Burner Do you mind if I copy this info with attribution for the Bluesky crowd or are you on Bluesky already?

Given the depth of the DL and CB in this draft (or so I’ve read), I could see them trading back for an early 2nd and several other picks (or an extra first next year if someone is particularly stupid), grabbing someone like Kyle Williams in the 2nd or one of the 1st round OL or DL that slip.

This is going to be a really interesting draft because we don’t have a specific target like we did last year. I’ve also read there is little difference in quality from like 20-40 or so, so I can see a lot of movement.

I agree with you that trading down may be a good idea for us this year. There is only one sure fire stud in this draft, IMO, in Travis Hunter, so it’s unlikely that a highly ranked player will drop to 29. The fifth year option is nice, but only for true studs, like Jayden. Otherwise, teams will know after 3 seasons if a guy is a player in the league, and work an extension year 4.

Teams may think they’ve found a player at pick 29, and would be willing to trade up for that 5th year option though. I’d only trade back, if it was with a team in the top 5 of round 2 though. We’d move back 5 to 8 spots, or so, and pick up extra draft capital. Love to see them, maybe, get back into the 4th round, and pick up a 2nd or 3rd rounder in 2026, which should be a deeper draft.

Whatever they do, I trust GMAP, as his first year here has been stellar.

I think there might be two. Travis Hunter and Jeanty. I wouldn't trade up for a running back, but I doubt he falls to us either. We need a our version of Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry to go with the running threat and arm of Daniels. BRob when healthy is a chain mover. We want someone who is threat.

Luckily, it may be the deepest position in this year’s draft. Love for them to get a game breaking speed player there to complement BRob.
