Now that's an interesting thought.

The one thing about Arthur Smith that frustrated people is that in so many games, he refused to use Bijan Robinson. The guy was electric when he got the ball, but too many games he wasn't getting it. And when he was asked why he isn't using his best player, he would go on some weird rant about how everyone else doesn't know what they are doing and are just worried about fantasy football. Meanwhile he's losing games and not getting his dynamic rookie more involved. I do agree that being saddled with Ridder hurt him as well, but wouldn't that be more reason to lean on your stud rookie RB? It will be interesting to see where he ends up and if he has the same issue or not. I really feel like he let his ego get in the way of being more successful. He wanted to prove other people wrong more than he wanted to do what was best for his team.Falcons are making a huge mistake letting Arthur Smith go. I think he is going to be a really good HC. It's not his fault they drafted Desmond Ridder and are treating him like he's a franchise QB. He is the guy who resurrected Ryan Tannehill's career with the Titans and is a really good playcaller. He's be on my list as a potential OC.

I'd be surprised if Kraft gave Vrable control over personnel ... watching his dynastic run crash and burn overnight once his last HC/GM lost his elite QB has to be causing him all kinds of heartburn.
And frankly, I'm not sure Vrabel would even want that. He doesn't strike me as an ego guy somehow. But that's just my own impression.
