I kindof agree, though they did have a plan for kicker which blew up in their faces when they found out Brandon McManus had been charged with sexual assault on a flight. He had a great game. He wasn’t bad when we had him, he wasn’t bad when we dropped him, he hasn’t been bad since.
Getting us into kicker hell is one of a few - to me - clear mistakes AP has made. Very similar to our C move (Biadasz).
Kind of abrupt, did not value the “bird in the hand” enough. That needs to stop happening, I think.
When he was cleared, he signed with the packers, played 11 games and went 20-21, an 3-3 in 50+
In 2025, he wasn't as good. He went an overall of 24-30 (80%), 3-5 from 50+ He did seem to have a bugaboo form 41-50, where he was only 3-7. He was released by the Packers in May.
However, he is a vet with a good leg who had been around the 80-82% kick made average his career.
That move might have been fine, but when they parted with McManus, they ended up with no real plan, and it's been a problem ever since.
Interestingly, he's currently a FA, so I'm not sure why he isn't in somebody's camp.
