Why are you making such a big fuss, Boone. He's a running QB. Running QBs don't need arms.

Apparently, it's bursitis. Some online reports say it's no deal, but one I read said this has been recurring for two years. Seems a caution flag to me if his arm is already experiencing wear and tear symptoms that's/old man aches that's pretty bad.

Josh Allen had this 'wear' injury in college. Hasn't affected him in the NFL.

It would be a different story if it is recurring as Burgold said.

A recurring bursitis issue shows the torque Daniels uses in his throwing motion may be putting too much pressure on the elbow.
 
Unless anyone here is an orthopedist who has assessed Daniel’s, I don’t think we’re qualified to comment on whether this is a non-issue or something that could be.

It’s certainly going to be something NFL team physicians look at closely. Bursitis is inflammation and fluid buildup which means there is trauma to that elbow. I would think at his young age that could be a concern and even one that impacts where he gets drafted.

Adrian Peterson recovered from a bad ACL tear in half a season and returned looking great. RG3 didn’t. Every player is different.

It's amazing Boone. Washington has had two running backs with unbelievable medical comebacks - Adrian Peterson with that 2,000 yard season off the ACL and Terry Allen coming back to run for 1,000 yards multiple times and make the pro bowl after 2 ACLs.
 
If I had to guess, this will turn out to be a big nothing burger in terms of his future play, but because of the draft capital used on a top QB and the impact of the pick is blown, bet it becomes a factor…

If Washington were to move down and take Minnesota's picks he would be an option at #23, a bit early by the draftniks boards, but watching him his arm is every bit as lively as Drake Maye's.
 
NYG have a large contingent in NC for Maye but Dabol is attending Penix’s workout.
 
Drake Maye was impressive today. Ridiculous arm. Strength and touch. 2-3 squirrelly, wild throws but those have to be expected at this point. A good looking big athlete. 6’4 230. Needs to work on his cardio though. 😉

1 question- who is the white receiver with the headband? What hands! Wow!
 
I believe that was Beau Corrales. Former tarheel. He might be transferring.

Yes, you’re right. Just read up on him, man he’s had a tough road. He has entered the transfer portal to play with an experienced QB for his final season.

Very athletic and hands of glue though.

I agree with your observation on Drake’s endurance. He looked a little winded at times

I wonder if conditioning might also speak to his inconsistent footwork. Maybe when he gets tired he gets sloppy.

Conditioning is definitely something that can (and should if it's an issue) be addressed.
 
He was pretty clearly fatigued early. Hands on hips, head down, etc. I would imagine that he was probably behind on sleep and adrenaline levels were probably high, and understandably so considering the circumstance.

His footwork was fine. I’m sure he’s been working on that, plus that type of event is absent of the kind of stress to, well, stress it.
 
I read that maye threw 80 passes at his pro day. And that he missed 6-7 passes. That's not bad. I also read that Penix had a really strong pro day
