To add to that, if this potential "W" has any sort landmark associated with DC built into it, somebody needs to notify those in charge that the Washington Capitals already ran with that idea with their shoulder patch on their sweaters. It would scream a total lack of creativity and originality.

I mean, it’s kind of impressive. It takes 3 strokes of a pen to make a W. It could have taken 1 year for each stroke. So they can spin this of doing 3 years work in 2 years.

I might be way off on this, but I personally think the team is going to try and throw a curve ball to us. What I mean by this is I do not believe that any supposed clues as to the new name would have been dropped in the latest video. They have kept things under wraps until now - why start letting the cat out of the bag with just a few weeks to go? Under this premise, I think Redtails would be out, as would any name with "ders" at the end, as they showed yesterday how the name script/font for "____ders" would appear alongside other league teams. Just a thought.
