Official Game Thread - Week 7 2021- Washington @ Green Bay

I wonder if this puts any of the WFT in jeopardy. I don’t know if there has been any cases of an opponent catching it from someone who is positive. It seems it mostly stays in house since most believe indoors is where it spreads most. But you also have to think about how players are hugging and slapping hands after games. A lot more of that this year than last year. So I guess we will wait and see if that happens here.

It all depends on if it "makes a landing" or not. Somehow wild animals like deer have gotten it as well.

You guys know I got it somehow despite me being basically a cave dweller. I went to home depot, Walmart, and had contact with my sister. No conversations in the stores; the stores had restrictions. Yeah, those are indoor places but I am not a close contact liking type of guy.

Did you actually get tested - thought I remember you saying you just assumed you had it? Unlikely any of our guys got infected. Typically takes extended close proximity which outdoors is not super likely. Possible but not likely.

What I had this year was a confirmed PCR test on Feb 13, 2021. The speculation was for a bout of very similar but less symptomatic case where I had extraordinary weakness and sloth but no chest symptoms in late Nov 2019, when the virus was not even known to the world yet.

Per a league source, contact tracing was initiated but no WFT defender came close enough to Adams to be considered at risk.

All those Packers with positive covid results and not one player from our team.....

Either it's a very slow spreading virus or....

I see the strategy here.
We are preparing for a late-season-surge.
That surge will be powered by a healthy team.
And to be healthy, we need to avoid tackling for now ; for both the virus and injuries.
The late-season surge worked last year. That must be the plan this year, by ensuring the players take no risks at all, by actually playing football.
Brilliant.

You might be on to something.
Wait for other teams to be decimated by infections, then pounce on them! Maybe WFT can line up 11 defenders against a depleted offense with 6 or 7 players. If there are only 1 or 2 OL on the field, Young and Sweat can shatter the combined sack record!
