Official Game Thread - Week 13 - Commanders @ Giants

TD coming up to give NYG the halftime lead. Only question is,: will the TD scorer walk in untouched or actually be hindered in some token fashion?

It's halftime. I get the frustration, but it's not over by a longshot.

And the obligatory turnover to set up NYG for another TD. It is probably over now, even for the most optimistic fan. I gotta hand it to any WAS fan who can find any silver linings after enduring the past 29 years or so.

Chunks of yardage, easily converting third downs regardless of distance, cashing in on the turnover. This is what 31 other teams do every week.

Jones and Barkley look like stiffs against the rest of the league, both will have over 100 yards rushing each today. Laughingstock of the league.

Other teams run the ball "cleanly" without called penalties and manage to march down the field. WAS get some positive plays with BS penalties called on a significant portion of them...

Total clown show out there right now.

85 yard TD drive (with 3 or more third down conversions) coming right up.

Think they're going to stop them in the 2 minute drill? No chance. 23-20 NYG.

What's worse than pissing away a 10 point lead and losing in regulation?

Pissing away a 10 point lead, missing a makeable FG, making a comeback, having a tremendous chance to win, and letting the opponent go unmolested down the field to score before losing in OT.

Good ol' Chuck. He'll get to kick that football someday....

Both teams successfully avoided having victory thrust upon them. Neither one deserves a postseason berth.
How on earth did the Eagles lose to this team? If they play that game 1,000 times, the Eagles win at least 991 of them.

Spent the entire game in the ER, but was able to listen to large parts via headphones. Couldn’t tell if it was a hard fought slugfest or a mistake riddled series of frustrating almosts and screw ups.

The play calling at the end of their first drive in overtime was way too conservative and predictable. I hate when teams run from the 40 yard line. You need to get closer, throw the ball.

The tie was therefore deserved.

But as a Michigan State alum, I am required to say "A tie is like kissing your sister."

More the latter!

And yes very negative with respect to WAS football. I used to be a "normal" fan when I was a boy and young man. Mistakenly, I thought it was "easy" to win professional football games and to field teams that seemed to be generally well-prepared and well-coached. The Redskins might not win every game, but they competed and were relevant. They even won championships sometimes! Sadly, I have taken so much emotional damage over the past 29 years that I doubt it is possible for me to ever feel that way again. Recovery? A pipe dream. Maybe if Danny sells the team there will be a glimmer of hope. Until then, the long darkness continues.

The delay of game on Jones was a total brain fart for lack of a better word .. can’t let that happen

So many missed opportunities that as fans, you'd like to think they could step up for just once and take advantage of.

But as usual,Lucy pulls the ball away once again and they reveal themselves to be the same old Redskins of the last 20+ years,

A freaking tie....only Washington.......

Sorry to hear it - good thoughts your way ❤️
