I keep seeing the logic that "If people think you will take Tua, they will offer more!". Generally, if a team wants a guy, they aren't going to trade away their ability to get him. That's what you usually hear about drafting and trades, is that it's a matter of getting the guy before the people that want him have a chance to grab him.
If we are wanting our pick value to go up, the useful thing would be the Lions desire to be outspoken. The only thing we would want to talk Tua up for is if we actually wanted Burrow, and were trying to get Cincinatti to take Tua instead.
I fail to see how the Redskins talking about wanting to take Tua is going to entice trades with the Redskins.
