Commanders News (Social Media)

Listening to Nikki Jhabvala comment on Brown. She said she has no idea what really happened. no indication of what he injured, but as he was being carted off they went over a bump and Brown "screamed". I wonder if he reaggravated the kidney injury?

From what I heard Standig say, it happened as he was going to the ground to catch a ball.

Total speculation here, but that seems to be better than a 'non contact' type injury. He then 'limped' over to the sideline with help, threw his helmet on the ground, and got carted off.

Standig also pointed out that the fields are 'below' the level of the facility, so the only way to get back to the building is either up steps, or a hill. I would assume that means with any leg injury they're overly cautious to put guys on the cart and wheel them up.

I also heard about the scream as they went over a bump... Standig said he couldn't tell if it was pain or frustration, so it's all speculation at this point.

It's hard to say, but a lot of the factors are odd. A lot of the time guys walk moments after a torn ACL or Achilies. Granted a lot of that is adrenaline of being in the midst of a football game so there's that. My bigger fear of that 'painful' bump would be dislocation, but he supposedly got off the field 'with help' which kind of makes that a little foggy if it was a dislocated ankle?

A lot of speculation, and in reality I don't think we hear much unless he goes in for a surgery. I obviously hope he's ok. I will also say that there may be a bit of an odd silver lining here with Terry not participating, as it means there's a large trickle down effect of reps going to the back half of the depth chart in the WR room. Chris Moore, KJ Osborne, Jacoby Brooks, and Jaylin Lane likely saw more over the mini camp than they would have, simply because Terry wasn't out there. That doesn't mean theyll be ready to step up, but more that the coaches got more of a look.

Now we can stop seeing articles about how Washington needs to give up picks to get a veteran #3 receiver with Brown down.

Well the former minority owner and founder of FED EX that caused the name change just died. Not normally a person to say bad of the dead but I hope he spends eternity seeing the old logo 24/7

IMO dude almost deserves a spot in the ring of honor (ok, slightly exaggerating) for transforming the franchise...played a huge roll in getting Snyd-dog to 'ef off.

And as to the name...i hate Commanders, but also thought Redskins was way past its time to go. So that I don't hold against him.

I will remember him fondly.

I don't believe Smith engineered it. This was a league move. They wanted the former owner gone without the bloodshed and the precedent that voting him out would have produced. Getting vendors to focus on the name and hit the team financially was just a vehicle to avoid that.

Smith was just the public face of it.

Smith went scorched earth on our former idiot
Owner and caused the change. Nothing to do with the league

I wonder if snyder is on his yacht somewhere watching our miracle transformation and telling people he could have done this he just needed more time or something along those lines.

Do you think he has any ability whatsoever of self reflection and has come to at least some realization that he was at least part of the problem?

I mean we all know he was the entire problem but i do wonder if he has had any epiphanies in the last 14 months about himself and his role in our 25 year nightmare.

I'm sure Snyder believes that if he got Daniels everything would have played out for him and he'd be the hero of the town. Rivera too.

After all, they were just unlucky... /s

I used to compare successful teams playing chess vs Snyder playing Tic Tac Toe. Eventually I realized that this was too much of a compliment to Snyder.

Snyder would have tried to buy your X when he really needed an O.

Posting that Incompetence demotivator pic was the most accurate thing ever.

I didn’t think tic tac toe, but I did imagine then struggling to master Chutes and Ladders.

Smith was a hypocrite. He knew Snyder was doing what he was doing and the organization was dysfunctional to the ultimate degree with misconduct, etc. but he kept paying the naming fees and kept quiet so his son Arthur could get on the staff here and start his NFL career.

Once Arthur moved on then Smith became an advocate for doing the right thing and changing the name, etc.?

What a tool 🙄

It's such an easy lie to believe that money creates happiness.

It may not create happiness but it eases the pain. Especially for those with oversized egos. (The only thing that Snyder has that is that.)

It makes me wonder, when Snyder dies, what does the team say? "He dead?"

You may be right, but I strongly suspect that the immediacy of the 'skins turn around and sudden national popularity galls him. He's a bitter man. The money isn't going to help with that. This is eating at him. He is rich, but a failure and in exile. His psychology will make it hard for him to turn the page unless three ghosts visit him on Chanukah Eve.
