Listening to Nikki Jhabvala comment on Brown. She said she has no idea what really happened. no indication of what he injured, but as he was being carted off they went over a bump and Brown "screamed". I wonder if he reaggravated the kidney injury?
From what I heard Standig say, it happened as he was going to the ground to catch a ball.
Total speculation here, but that seems to be better than a 'non contact' type injury. He then 'limped' over to the sideline with help, threw his helmet on the ground, and got carted off.
Standig also pointed out that the fields are 'below' the level of the facility, so the only way to get back to the building is either up steps, or a hill. I would assume that means with any leg injury they're overly cautious to put guys on the cart and wheel them up.
I also heard about the scream as they went over a bump... Standig said he couldn't tell if it was pain or frustration, so it's all speculation at this point.
It's hard to say, but a lot of the factors are odd. A lot of the time guys walk moments after a torn ACL or Achilies. Granted a lot of that is adrenaline of being in the midst of a football game so there's that. My bigger fear of that 'painful' bump would be dislocation, but he supposedly got off the field 'with help' which kind of makes that a little foggy if it was a dislocated ankle?
A lot of speculation, and in reality I don't think we hear much unless he goes in for a surgery. I obviously hope he's ok. I will also say that there may be a bit of an odd silver lining here with Terry not participating, as it means there's a large trickle down effect of reps going to the back half of the depth chart in the WR room. Chris Moore, KJ Osborne, Jacoby Brooks, and Jaylin Lane likely saw more over the mini camp than they would have, simply because Terry wasn't out there. That doesn't mean theyll be ready to step up, but more that the coaches got more of a look.
