This thread has turned into a horror show.

This could be a great signing if that chubby diva gets his ass in shape and wants to ball out. It doesn't move the needle like I thought it would though.

Watching those highlights you realize how many QBs Deebo has had. Not as many as Terry, but I counted Garrapolo, Lance, Purdy, and I think there was at least one more.
I was thinking the same thing.....and hearing the announcers state "wide open!" on a lot of those catches is nice....

Whether you want to call him a WR2 or 3 or whatever, to me we just got Jayden another weapon and that’s a good thing! Not sure how you would define overuse, but running the ball is one of his strengths, so I would say give him a decent helping of carries. Especially if it takes some of the running off of Jayden’s plate.
I agree that getting JD another weapon is a good thing, but I called him WR3 because I think that's what he is. I believe we still need a WR2.

I don't think running the ball is one of his strengths, 3.2 yards per carry this season was worse than everyone on our team except for Terry (two carries for two yards). I'm OK with giving him the ball a couple of times a game just to keep defenses on their toes, but any more than that is overuse. It's obviously a subjective term but that's how I see it.

We need a WR that gets respected down the field, to play along side Terry. (I'd trade for Metcalf if I could and I'm still high on Adams, because he's still good down field. If we could somehow trade for Garrett Wilson, that would be my topo choice).

That opens a ton of underneath stuff for Ek and Deebo. If we add a solid TE or bring Ertz back, that's a lot of fire at all three levels.

Issue with Metcalf is that Seattle seems to be looking for a huge haul for him. So if anyone else is willing to (IMO) overpay, we have no shot. I'd like Adams but from what I've read he wants to play on the west coast, so we'd likely have to really overpay him if we want him here.

This is why the tea leaves lead to Darius Slayton. Very good deep ball threat, blocker and locker room threat
