You are right, Sarge. Item A. is the "Certificate of Live Birth," item B. is the "Delayed Certificate of Birth," and item C. is the "Certificate of Live Home Birth."

You've witnessed racism. You've witnessed institutional racism.

And because of this, you feel totally justified in accusing a government official with racism for no other reason than he said something you don't want to hear or don't believe. You feel justified in accusing his boss of racism because she supports his statements.

Is that REALLY what you want to make the foundation of your case?

Let's pretend your answer is yes. There is a lot of nativist discrimination that goes on in HI, and based solely on that you can assume people will lie and cheat for their own fellow natives. Are you really then suggesting that this cabal considers a man who wasn't born there and doesn't live there 'one of their own?' ... to the degree that they'd commit treasonous lies to support him?

Do you see the ways in which Sarge has to bend and twist in order to believe what Sarge wants to believe?

From the outside it doesn't look any different than a truther, or a 'we didn't land on the moon' guy.

It don't care about the difference between 'birth certificate A' and 'birth certificate B' because there are ways to confirm the validity of the B types when you no longer have the A type. I know this because I don't have an A anymore (and I live in VA, by the way. Lived here my whole life. It's never been an issue with schools.) Obama's 'type B' certificate was confirmed by the state of HI. Therefore I don't care if he still has the other one.

Finally, you all want to know why won't they show you the magic certificate? My answer is, what would that solve? If the conspiracy is as vast and nefarious as you all claim they could just photoshop one and post it online. The HI Department of Health twice stated his certificate was valid. The governor confirmed it. If at that point people still aren't satisfied, they never will be. At some point you have to move on and deal with, you know, real issues. I felt the same way when Florida declared Bush the winner on 2000, even though his BROTHER was the governor and the conservatives held the majority in the FL supreme court. At some point the issue has to be laid to rest and the actual governing of our nation has to take precedent. I don't blame Obama for, now two years after the fact, making that decision in this case.

They have his ORIGINAL Henry. not a "Type B" as you put it. His ORIGINAL Which should look just like the one displayed by the lady in the original honolulu advertiser post I put up here. Notice they said "Birth Certificate" not "Certificate of Live Birth"

I'm not claiming some vast, nefarious conspiracy. I don't think he's a Manchurian Candidate or any other whacked ideas. I just think he needs to prove he is qualified under the provisions of the Constitution to hold the office that he's in.

Every jurisdiction in Va requires a birth certificate or certified proof of birth

Here is the problem I have with this whole issue. It makes the Right look desperate. Really desperate. You all can go on all you want about how important it is to make sure he qualifies for his office, but the fact is that most Americans believe the Hawaian officials Henry referenced. So those of you who continue with this look bad. This also dilutes your credibility. Because to most of us, this issue is dead and has been dead for months. So the next time the Right brings an issue to the forefront, legit or not, a lot of us respond with an eye roll and make cracks referring to tin foil hats (not that i have ever done that, only others, Im sure...). At a time when the country really needs to come together and work unified, this is a distraction, and it is a distraction that most of the country couldn't give two ****s about, because to the rest of us, it has been resolved.

Continuing to protest over it makes you look worse. More desperate. Which probably serves to continue the cycle. The more desperate you get, the more desperate you are to find something to stick on him. Go with what Boone wrote, i think most of us in the middle feel that way. He hasn't done a good job, he isn't leading effectively, and he certainly hasn't done a great job reaching across the aisle. Go with that.

Because I swear to God there are times i tell myself i will vote for Obama in 2012 just to spite the Right nut jobs.

And i doubt I'm alone.

Ooops. Little misread there. Sorry about that bro. Now, I will acknowledge that there are some people that want to see his birth certificate because they don't want "one of dem dar darkies" in the office. Can't do anythign about them

Personally, I don't care if he's purple. No matter the color he's a ****ty president that as FS62 has said is in way over his head

amen!!!

that ad hominen is so abused that when it really is appropriate it carrys less weight these days. I especially dislike it cuz...for the most part....it's levied without real knowledge of how each of us conducts ourselves in our real lives, who our friends are, etc., etc.
