2011 NBA Thread

I love Anderson. I just hope Redick can play. If he can, I believe the Magic win. If not, then Miami should win.

Redick and Clark are available tonight according to the Heat's beat writer.

Bron is on fire tonight. Hitting crazy shots, if it continues in the second, Magic are in for a long game. That was a hell of a pass by Redick late to Howard that Howard couldn't convert. He needs to make that.

Nice game by the Heat tonight. Too little, too late for the Magic. Great finish though.

Not sure bat Duncan over Love on the All Star team. Love has been a beast this season.

Are the Celtics going to lose two in a row at home this weekend?

:)

Heheheh, talking smack after the LeBron beat down? Really?

:)

Beatdown? That was a 3 point game, and nearly went into overtime.

I'm just making sure the Celts fans are ready.:)

Go Magic. At 6 games back they really need a win, not another 'moral' victory. :)

A Celtic loss could possibly set up a game to determine who is 1st in the East a week from tomorrow.

Doesn't look good for Orlando. Middle of the third and they are chucking up threes like the Suns teams of the mid 90's. Having Dan Majerle flashbacks...

Someone once told me...can't remember who...that Rondo can't shoot and that Jameer Nelson is way better?

At the end of the third: 7-8 from the stripe and 8-14 from the field and 24 points?

Guy can't shoot a lick........:)

Magic are just a bad team right now. With their lack of size Howard is playing every minute and his second half's are awful.

Celtics are a well-oiled machine and Rondo is clearly the MVP on that team.

Yeah, Rondo looks good. Real good. I didn't think that was a overpowering performance by them, but the Magic really didn't play well. Looks like Celts/Heat looking more probable.

The Magic are a team that leans too much on the three point shot and not enough on Howard.

They hardly gave him the ball in the second half which just goes to show you just how bad a coach Stan Van is.

When your center has 22 points at the half, you don't ignore him the whole second half.

The trade they made that shook up their roster, killed what defense they did have.

Arenas is done and Richardson couldn't tell you what defense is.

Otis Smith panicked and it's probably going to cost the Magic Dwight Howard.

On the plus side though, Otis knows how to piss off LeBron.

So there's that for Magic fans to look forward to.

Pathetic display by the Magic yesterday. And how wild was it that the two Celts players who got concussions last year in the same game against the Magic, got pounded again this year in the same game?

But the Magic went something like 3 of 24 from three point land. They can't possibly compete like that. And Dwight with 22 points in the first half--just dominating Perkins. And then they forget about him in the second.

Insane.

Congrats Celtics fans.

Yeah, i wasn't sure why they went away from Howard in the second. Was Mike Dunleavy involved?

When your whole offense is built around the three, that's what happens some nights.

You guys need a GM and a coach. They're starting to look like Vinny and Zorn.

Carmelo to the Lakers for Bynum?

http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/sto...akers-nuggets-engage-in-carmelo-anthony-talks

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers have engaged in preliminary discussions about a trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to L.A., ESPN is reporting.

Andrew Bynum is the basis for the Lakers' side of the deal. The Nuggets are not interested in Ron Artest and have only marginal interest in Lamar Odom, sources said.

Wow, no one outside of LA wants to see this happen.

Bynum is not nearly enough and LA has no draft picks or other young players that Denver would want. There would have to be a third team involved.
