    Another Picanha roast

    Still in Va Beach and visited one of my favorite butchers in Chesapeake and had to get another Pichana roast and a couple beef ribs. They didn't have any Prime roasts this time, but this one looked pretty good.

    It was close to be out of date, and I couldn't bring myself to waste food. Brushed some maple syrup on it, sprinkled brown sugar, pepper and popped it in the oven on a parchment lined baking pan. 15 minutes @ 350°

    Oyster fix

    I was jonesing for oysters and picked up a few dozen yesterday in Tappohannock, Va. They're Rappohannock river oysters. I've never had them before. These are sweeter than their MD counterparts. Very good.
