Jeremy McNichols was an afterthought for me heading into the season and I thought Rodriguez would be better. While I like Bill, I think McNichols needs to get the ball more to see what he can do. Not suggesting it would be a magic elixir of sorts but simply think he's earned a chance to be the dude for a couple games IMO.
Yeah I agree on McNichols. It was cool to see PFF corroborate what my eyes saw, he was one of our best players on offense yesterday.
He is proving to be a good third down back, good in pass protection, good hands, and a good runner on draw plays. So he is doing well in Ekeler’s role, though really he has done well at everything we have asked when given opportunities, so we should consider giving him more looks on first and second down too. Last year he averaged 4.7 yards per carry and scored four touchdowns, now this season he is averaging 9.3 yards per carry!
I have high hopes for JCM, but McNichols has earned more looks in the running back committee.
