I think Peters is playing this absolutely perfectly, FWIW.
1. Seems like he has a handle on what the market value is.
2. Seems to be willing to come up from original ask to something a little more than reasonable because they want the player, and they are willing to over pay a little.
3. Allowed his farce of an ankle injury to play out for weeks as a cover for the hold in to relieve pressure from Terry.
4. Has not spouted off about the situation on Michael Irvin's podcast a la Jerry.
5. Didn't take the bait when Terry asked for a trade
6. Knows his position of leverage, but not overplaying his hand
7. Will not cave to pressure, even though up until very recently, public sentiment has been entirely on Terry's side absent a few message board posters who look deeper into the facts.
8. Not panicking about not having a #1 WR on a team that has NFC Championship game aspirations and doing something financially stupid.
And kudos to Josh Harris for not getting involved and forcing something.
The team is run by professionals.
No matter what Skinsfan who emailed Galid (who HAS TO BE Dan Snyder, though MIGHT BE Terry's agent) says about it, the team has played this perfectly.
