Whether you want to talk about Terry cloth or Terry Crews or even that McLaurin guy... this is the place for you.

That's not to say we can't talk about him in training camp or free agent or transaction threads, but feel free to post your support, angst, or aggravation about Terry here. Heck, you can even talk about your favorite Terry plays.

According to their website, the town of Terry is a nice place to visit. Founded in 1811 when the railroad came through...

These veterans hate training camp so while it’s not Terry’s focus I am sure he isn’t missing the 95-100 degree weather.

He is one guy I am ok overpaying a little for. He is what Coach Gibbs would have called a "core Redskin." You can't quantify a TM in stats alone. If we make a run in the next few years, TM needs to be on the train. It would be a sports tragedy if he wasn't.

I really hope this gets done.

You hero. I've had this hanging around for ages and no idea what to do with it:

Now it finally has a home.

I think we all agree that we WANT him here. Good player, great teammate. I do wish less focus was on the "how" however. His agent can negotiate while Terry practices with his team. He's under contract and therefore a member of this team

Definitely feel we all want Terry here, he is AWESOME in a lot of ways! But I want this team to have long term success more than i care who the players are that provide it!! So if Terry wants too much money, enough that will but the long term success in jeopardy, then screw Terry.

I'm also in the "slightly" overpaying Terry camp. I do view him as a core player for the next three years. I view him as one of the culture guys they've been preaching about trying to cultivate. I also think (like all long-term Redskins fans) he's endured awful times when it was hard to hold your head high. I also think being a Probowl quality guy given the quarterbacking and all the other problems this team has suffered through is impressive. I do wonder what we would think of him if he had Daniels or Burrows or even just Dak level Qbing over his career here.

I don't want to overpay, and his public statements after that Eastern Motors shoot were a bad look. He's not the team and the team's success doesn't hinge on him, despite what his agents are telling him.

I do feel we will be worse without him this year. Perhaps significantly worse.

Also, I can't imagine this FO being influenced much at all by Holdouts - they're too professional and are focused on the bigger picture.

my thoughts on a contract are over pay the first year and then reduce the pay the following years for more money to use when our QB gets his new contract so add 5 mill to the current year then do 35-30-26 with a 4th year team option for 26

The problem is Terri‘s age. Do I think that Adam peters would have a problem being Terry top five wide receiver money this year? No. next year? Probably not. The problem is if you sign Terri to a three-year extension, the last two years are in his age 32 and 33 seasons. And in all likelihood, Terri will not be a top 5 to 10 receiver in those years.

The way that I would handle it is treated as a two year extension, even if you give him three years. I would fully guarantee this year plus the first year of the extension at around $60 million. Spread that between signing bonus and salary. That fully compensate Terri as a top 5 to 10 receiver for the next two years. And it’s a pretty hefty guarantee. Years three and four of the extension would have many fewer guarantees and the ability for the team to get out of it if they needed to. If they need to keep the salary high in order to boost the AV, that’s fine. But the majority of it should be non-guaranteed.

That means Terri could restructure after two years depending on his production at that point.

The key is maintaining flexibility not this year or next, but going into the 2027 season.

The Terry McLaurin Fine Tracker

Day 4 total- 200k (or 63,000 gallons of regular unleaded gasoline)
Does the team withhold paying him on days he holds out? So Tony McLaurin’s out of pocket per day would be $50k + $______?

Come back, Tony!!!

I don’t think the team has ever paid Tony McLaurin. 😉

Regarding Terry…the current CBA calls for a fine of 50k per day for players with unexcused absences of mandatory team activities. Salary is paid weekly during the regular season, per game.
