The 2025 Draft Thread

A buddy of mine has been fanboy'ing since December and thinks Kerrigan is a comp (the lighter Purdue version)

I see that. They move pretty similar. I think Scourton looks slightly faster but Kerrigan looked slightly stronger.

There's a good chance they did meet with Harvey. Seems like there have been a lot of unreported meetings - Keim mentioned, for example, that they met with Skattebo and that had gone under the radar

It's possible. But for example as to Skattebo, Keim said they met him. I mentioned it here. I haven't heard about it from anyone including Keim. But clearly some meetings aren't disclosed.

Yeah I was going to say Kerrigan. Solid player. Solid character. Played at Purdue, etc.

You would have to think too that Kerrigan still has a ton of ties to that program and can get the full picture on Scourton. Maybe some sour grapes from people there about him transferring but he is a Texas guy so I understand him going home

Will Johnson seems like might be a potential faller tonight.

I watched him quickly just now. His medicals have to check out. But if they do, he feels tailor made for the Whitt defense considering what he had at that spot in Dallas.

In short, Will is a physical player, can play man-zone, press, off. He looks more comfortable playing off. They use him on corner blitzes. Decent against the run albiet misses some tackles but the effort is there.

The main thing is he goes for picks and he has good ball skills. He has good instincts to go get the ball.

I'd reject that deal.

Mind you, I'm opposed to the trade at this point, but really if Cinci is trading it's because they have no choice. They don't deserve a first rounder just like we didn't deserve a first rounder when we traded for Trent Williams. Why give them a fair price when they're feeling heat, especially when we'll be on the hook for the entirety of a new contract.

You'd have your proven EDGE, your 2nd, an acquired decent 3rd, a 4th, 6th and 7th. You added an multiyear Pro Bowl EDGE along with a 3rd round pick for your #29. Makes it mighty enticing.

Dang Kellen, you know you can just quit, you don't have to destroy the team on the way out.

I'm listening to these teams talk about adding talent and not reaching for a QB, but that's horseflop.

The QBs are going to come up fast. Same with all the OTs. They sound all casual about coming back up at the end, like other teams can't do that. If Dart goes to NO and Pitt is taking Sanders or Milroe, the Giants and Browns need to get back in front of them.

Hearing the Browns shopping the #2 now.

When you draft in the first round, you're drafting a guy you expect 8-10 years of production out of. It's too valuable for 30+yr olds.
