AP has them focusing all over the boards and many different positions. It is such a positive look and should give us all confidence in this new experience. Rivera didn't know there was a such thing as UDFA.

I can see the team looking to accumulate 6th and 7th rounders and use some of those selections on some of these players that they covet. Loading up on these players that contribute on ST this year while being backups or PS members for a year before maturing to the roster.

I got to get to watching him. He has good production, good combine. He got a lot of hype for his play at the Senior Bowl.
 
I just watched Georgia G Ratledge. The dude blew up at the combine but still is really not talked a lot about. I am wondering if its because he is just a G or if he always played with such talent around him that he is being overlooked. Often it is the opposite, a player on a great line being over hyped due to his surroundings. Then doesn't pan out when surrounded with lesser talent or in a different scheme.

One of the big knocks on him has been his athleticism and speed for pulling but I'd say he blew that away at the combine. He has many of the qualities DQ is looking for with this team - tough, smart, big, technical, high-motor, 37 career starts, mastic mullet.... Also something I didn't realize, he took snaps at C in practice and camp with Georgia.

He could easily fall to us in the 2nd and would be a great fit, immediate starter at RG and become the backup C and perhaps Biadasz's eventual replacement. I know, he isn't a RT prospect but damn good Commander type player

He's my OG #1. Tyler's certainly a good prospect but his RAS score was awful and that will likely hurt him. It does show up when he tries getting to the 2nd level. Tate was the clear alpha to me in this group. I like the Arizona prospect Savaiinaea but I would not want him playing OT in the NFL personally.
 
It looks like the 2nd round is going to have a lot of WR, CB and RBs in it, which most likely pushes those IOL prospects down.

I'd love to trade out of 29, but I can't imagine anyone wanting the pick. Maybe someone comes up for Milroe or Dart or something but I think we're stuck at 29.

I also think we need a tall fast WR for JD to force feed in the endzone. Might be better to move up for someone like McMillian than stay at 29.

Same here. He feels like Quinn's definition of a commander. High character.

I was watching him a lot yesterday. He catches everything and has a great catch radius. Makes contested catches. Decent with YAC. Good run blocker. His shuttle time is decent. But want to see him run.

Receiver feels tricky. He's not a sexy pick but Egbuka IMO would work well here, he's always getting open on the first level. Great run blocker. High character. Leader on steroids. I think he can play Z. His biggest season had him play his share on the outside. Be interesting to see how he runs today. I think he's faster than some think he is. But will see. If I am right on that front, he likely is gone before 29.

I like McMillan even though its becoming cool with draft talking heads to slam him. But I do think Higgins is of that same ilk. Higgins is faster but McMillan IMO is more explosive with more potential with YAC. Higgins is more of the catch radius freak -- over 6'4, with 34 inch arms. McMillian with 31 inch arms. McMillan more of the contested catch guy. Higgins more of the make contested catches because he high points the ball so well but is not physical like McMillan.

I think Higgins goes early 2nd. There is a puncher's chance Ebuka falls to 29.

Later in the 2nd. Bech I'd jump at if I can see he runs in the 4.5s. Noel is intriguing, hits me as a poor man's Santana Moss. Tre Harris is a hard one for me -- reminds me in a way of Fanin at TE -- he's always open. Is it him or the scheme? Boom-bust player, that's hard for me to figure out. And like Fanin has some really good numbers.

Yeah, I think the 2nd is going to be a WR fest, with a few CBs mixed in. There's a lot that I like, but I haven't really paid a lot of attention this year and I'm about to be busy moving, so who knows. I'm also not use to drafting at 29 ols

Yeah he's been my guy for quite some time. He has that Cosmi-Scherff style of being a people mover, can get to that 2nd level, anchors well in pass protect. As I've been saying, I don't get the lack of hype. Having Cosmi on one side and this dude on the left side would be fire.

If last year is a predicator, who they meet with matters. With Ron is was oddly the opposite, with some players saying they barely ever spoken to this team when asked about it after they were drafted, etc.

If so at WR, they have interest in the Iowa State WRs, Noel and Higgins.

I get it. And they are both so different.

Noel is smallish but feisty for his size. I don't love the short arms, and had some inopportune drops (nothing terrible but its a small weakness). He also makes some really acrobatic catches especially down the field. Killed the combine. Super athlete. But in short, he complements this WR crew well because he'd bring some speed and a real deep threat.

Higgins -- brings size, and I think matches up well to Jayden's skill set because he makes plays on all three levels, drops almost nothing. The way Jayden can arc balls where he puts good air under them fits Higgins style perfectly because he can high point the ball and is a bit of a freak on that count because of his height and freakishly long arms. He also was great against man. And it seems like man is the way to play against at least last years version of this receiving crew.

I checked out Higgins a bit after you mentioned him the other day. I think you called him a poor mans AJ Green. Seems like the perfect Nabers/LSU role WR.

Noel is 5'11" 200lbs right? Not sure I call him small. He's no Santana small.

What are your thoughts on Felton and where he goes? I've seen Pearsail/Ladd comps for him.
 
man, SIP has really sold me on Jayden Higgins. He seems like he’d be a perfect fit with Terry on the other side and Deebo running Deebo stuff.

It seems like we are in an awkward spot though. I don’t think I’d take Higgins at 29, and I don’t think he lasts until 61.

He actually is. Noel is 5 '10 194 at the combine. Santana 5 '10, 193.

Then you add the 29 inch and change arms. He's on the smaller size. But he's good.

I haven't watched Felton yet but will. As for some mid to later round burners, I need to get to watching Thornton, Lane, Dike.
 
Having our version of a Green, Metcalf, Evens type who can get down field and just get every ball, while also blocing any defender on run plays, would be so huge for our offense. Terry is amazing, but he's punching over his weight IMO.
