This year, Harold Fannin Jr. posted 117 catches for 1555 yards. I don’t care what conference you’re in. That’s insane. I think he could be a Jordan Red for us. He’s listed at 6’4” and 230 pounds. I don’t think he’s going to be able to step in and be a balanced, true, in line TE, with regards to blocking. Still, we are going to need another receiving option at TE.

If we added someone like Tee Higgins, and Fannin, our passing game weapons would be so improved.

He has Josh Conerly going one pick earlier, at 25. I’d sooooooo much rather move up a few spots and solidify LT.

Mike Green is BPA. He's got a variety of moves and athleticism/bend to make it all work.

If the draft shakes out like this, Adam Peters has good options to improve the team. Such as a big stout DT to help against the run, a raw OT prospect, or an injured CB with prototypical traits.

I am not a film guy (Unlike @joeA_NFL on X/twitter, seriously, if you want a laugh, go read that idiot's timeline. You'll wonder how he remembers to breathe). But from what I've read about Green, I really like him. Shemar Stewart also would be a fantastic get here.

My hope is we can successfully address CB, WR in FA and in the draft go heavy on oline, dline and maybe grab a solid every down RB.....I would love to see us draft a game changing edge or big ole run stopper. It's nice having all that cap space since we'll be picking so low
 
Although I just said I'd like to go CB in FA, I must say Benjamin Morrison the CB from Notre Dame is a very intriguing prospect. I've seen a couple early draft projections of him going to us but that was weeks ago before the playoffs.
 
Henderson is the guy to watch tonight. He is Jahmyr Gibbs-ian in my opinion and may be there end of 2nd at our pick only because of prior injury issues.
 
Jury is still out on Sinnot, but Peters other early picks - Daniels, Sainristil and Coleman - have all far exceeded expectations. Heck of a first draft from Peters and Co.

The other picks all have quality vets ahead of them showing them the ropes (especially how to prepare), and it sure looks like we’ve got quality coaching/teaching, so there’s certainly hope for development. And Sinnot, McCaffrey and JJB are all getting playing time (Magee’s had a few snaps on D as well), which is obviously a good sign.

I think Sinnott and McCaffery Are still up in the air. Coleman I am not sure is the long term solution at tackle, but he is going to be a starter somewhere on the OL, so that is still a solid pick in the 3rd.

With Sinnott, I think how good he is may be up in the air, but is role is less so. He is never going to be a primary target, Zach Ertz type receiver. He doesn't have the wiggle. I think ideally, he supplants John Bates as our blocking TE, but is more versatile in terms of also being able to motion to fullback etc, and is better as a receiver than Bates. I don't really see Sinnott as ever being a 70 catch TE type player.

It's interesting running through the PFF mock draft just in terms of who they project to be available. The draft is looking a little dry at pick 29-32. If we want an impact player and have a need, WR, OT, edge, I think a move up could be in order. Is one of these 2nd round edges going to be better than Dante Fowler etc? Maybe some 2nd round tackles would be an upgrade. If we are comfortably filled out in FA and can go BPA, than that is a different story.

Basically, I think teams like the Ravens and Steelers, perennially picking in the 20's and making a killing grabbing BPA, had more time to develop their roster behind QB, and have gone into every draft with more talent across their entire roster than we have. That makes it easy to grab a transcendent safety etc. We still have some pretty concrete needs at value positions, IMO. Edge and LT, for instance.
 
It will be interesting to see if AP builds compensatory picks as many FA he signed are on short deals (i.e., 1 2 & 3 year deals) and/or pays some of them. Those who leave our team and sign with others as well as others that are paid and others brought in from other teams will play it out.

I hope not. We better be aggressive in FA. We have the 3rd most Cap Room, and being passive instead to maybe gain some Day 3 picks seems like a waste.

The team is in the conference championship. The window is now.
 
Yeah, I think we’ll be aggressive for sure. I imagine comp pick consideration is probably more likely to come as we get closer an extension for Daniels… if we have talent that could lead to compensation…

With that said, the combo of how much cap space we’ll actually have after re-signings, and the idea we probably have a heavy emphasis on fit, I can (potentially) see a dearth of high end acquisitions…

This isn't the year to play the comp pick game. We have way too many holes and need FA to address them. Most of our signings from last year were just stop-gaps (Ferrell, Wagner, etc). Right now, Chinn, Dyami (not withstanding the fumble issues), and Ertz (if he wants to come back and not retire) are the three key resignings.
