Snyder isn't gone yet and thus he has to comply with the other owner's wishes, which is to not interfere with a more "deserving" team in the playoffs. 7 or 8 wins assures us being the no man's land of mediocrity, not enough to get a stellar draft pick and not enough for any playoff excitement.

I went through this with Carolina fans. They thought they were hot stuff for a while. Plus for some, I feel like the Redskins were their ex-girlfriend so they had to overcompensate their hatred. It was great when the Redskins dominated them early, but then the Panthers started winning, and it got bad. That franchise still sucks, but their fans get obnoxious if they get a sniff of a victory.
