2022 Roster Updates

That's the brother of Zack Martin of the Boys
In one day, we signed a former Cowboy, and also the brother of a current Cowboy

Just like Byron Westbrook before him...the brother is just a mere novelty that we collect the blood relative of someone much better on a division rival's team.

Not easy to find waiver wire talent in-season. You get who you can find.

Yeah, Dallas was hoping Ridgeway would clear waivers but he wasn't a piece they even had penciled in to play this year (barring an injury need). He is a wide body, for sure, and it's a story with Dallas fans but checking the local media guys who actually talk to the team, it doesn't appear a huge deal.

What I heard, and it certainly sounds plausible, is that Dallas didn't want to IR Prescott, so they had to make room for the other extra, active QB Grier. And Ridgeway happened to be the cost of all that.

Yep, that is correct. More than likely he was the guy they thought some combination of most likely to sneak through waivers and least likely to need this year. In other words, he was the most expendable "red shirt" on the team.

Look like Jahan Dotson will be on the shelf for a week or two due to a hammy

Robinson looks good....

I hope he’s as good as we all believe he is. Lot of hype for a rookie who’s never played a real down. But amazing he is back so soon and happy for him.

He won't. The hype and expectations on this kid are through the roof. He is expected to come in and save the offense.

Really? I have not had the feeling that anyone expects that but I might also be living under a rock. I certainly don't expect that.

Robinson can only fix what Turner allows him to fix through the play calling. If he isn't carrying the ball, he can't impact the game much.

I think Mike is correct from a fan perspective from what I’ve seen on SM. Same with Young on the other side of the ball.

This is exactly how our fanbase works. We expected Campbell to take over for Brunell and dominate immediately.

We expected Heinicke to come in and dominate after one start and replacing Alex.

And so on, and so on. It's what fans do here. We put all our eggs in one basket and then get mad when they don't immediately do what we wanted.

I don’t believe that is unique to Washington fans. Or to the ones who post the most and loudest on social media. Considered or nuanced positions are not really the currency of that space.

Didn't say it was unique. Just said what was going to happen. :)

Jake Fromm to the practice squad
