This may be more about their confidence being shaken in him. Maybe more so by the two missed XPs, but he's only missed 2 FGs all year and is tied for 8th in the league in FG %. His two missed were from 40-49 and over 50.

I agree with Ted. If you think the players needed to be sent 'a message' - you send Landon Collins packing, not Hopkins.

I don’t think Collins is a fit on this team. I think he is a leftover from a philosophy of sign the biggest name and it will fix everything. But as MikefromOH pointed out, there are a lot more implications to cutting him. The Team is kind of stuck with him right now.

That's why - if you're sending a message, he's the guy you cut. You cut him because there ARE implications. It would say 'if Landon Collins can get cut....'

Reaves is on the PS. Promote him. He played better last year than Collins is this year.I'm still not sure who we replace Collins with. I know he was out last year, but we don't seem to have those same players or energy
If they had signed a guy with a positive track record, I'd have no issue with this. They signed a random with worse career stats than Hopkins. I hope they get lucky - I really do. But I suspect I'll look smart on this by season's end.

I'd be alright with it. That takes care of personnel.Reaves is on the PS. Promote him. He played better last year than Collins is this year.
