Dwayne Haskins caught maskless in strip club

If Alex is healthy, you put Haskins on IR and push all your chips in on Alex.

I dont know that you can IR him... maybe the Covid / Reserve list, but if you were to do something like that without just cause, the NFLPA and the union would have a field day. Likely be better off just releasing him.

I have seen players cut/released and not get their salaries because of things they've done that are against the rules.

Part of me wonders if we go down that road with him.

yeah i imagine that if he get suspended (ESPECIALLY if it's the NFL) that we will hear about some 'conduct detrimental to the team' type movement to recover some of the contract money.

I think we won't hear about any punishment until after the starter is announced, the NFL business wise isn't going to take a team in playoff contention out of it by forcing a 3rd string nobody on the field especially since they flexed the game.

They just took the C away from him.

THAT'LL LEARN EM!!!

THIS is why these immature young men don't care what anyone thinks.

He broke rules, put people at risk.....and, all they did was remove the C.

He is still starting. He is still getting paid. He is still employed.

Yeah i have to agree, I think it still comes back to Rivera putting the team first... and not potentially sacrificing a win for 52 players by punishing 1. I imagine he's gone in the offseason

Fined $40k

no, he wasn't.

no, he isn't.

If he had EVER learned a lesson it would have been when he had his starting position taken from him. Instead, he came out on the field...sucked, and then tried to make jokes with Terry on the sidelines instead of working hard.

I don't think Haskins has learned his lesson either, but Rivera has to think about what's best for the whole locker room...

Let me be clear in saying I would cut Haskins yesterday and just be done with it, so I'm not advocating..

But looking big picture, if you put Haskins on the shelf and you end up losing a game that Haskins could have won, and it costs you the playoffs? That impacts all the other players on the roster. We would be taking away playoff game checks, experience, we'd be letting a division title walk out the door and everything that comes with it. Rivera has to weigh that decision, and he's in a position that (like others have said) I'm very glad I'm on this side of it.

He’ll never learn. Period.

Haskins de facto lost that "C" a long time ago. That the players were unanimous in making McLaurin captain was pretty much internal consensus against him. Now it's just official.

Haskins is still Snyder's boy, so I'm not surprised they're not whacking him too hard.

However, the Haskins' family are extremely sensitive to bad press and thus while the move is light, it is still what the Haskins family does not want for their very carefully crafted image for their QB boy.
