Dwayne Haskins caught maskless in strip club

I was one of the " give him a shot because he was a first rounder and can at least take some hits while we build" crew, but he was pretty much gifted an injury by smith who was not great but getting us wins, and instead of busting his ass to show he should have been starting all along, he goes out partying.

this team isnt winning anything this year, winning the nfc least with an 8-8 record is like winning a gold in the special olympics. Cut him, take your lumps and show everyone that you are for real when you say its about the team not the one man

I can think of about 100 people that work in Ashburn that don't share your dismissal of an NFC East division title.... especially the 53 guys on the roster that would see a nice little bonus check somewhere in the range of $30K.

if we go from where we were last year to winning to division at 8-8....I dont give a rats ass; I am dancing!

I tend to agree with that. Ron wants to show he can turn this franchise around in 1 year and win the division.

As a selfish fan, I love it. As someone who wants integrity and morals from my coach, I hate it.

yeah I get it and I agree.. I dont want the dude on the team, but if Ron thinks he's the best chance to win Sunday.. then so be it. Dwayne has proven that he doesn't care about the team, or the long term with it... Ron now needs to do what is best for the team with Dwayne's long term development no longer the priority.

That does pay for hotel rooms and a whoooooole lot of $1 bills for strippers.

I'll admit I was in hibernation for almost 7 years but it took me only the first few games this year for me to understand Haskins was a lazy loser. It's really about the business environment and how the little man-weasel screwed up in one of the most favorable working conditions established by unions and billionaire owners.

How he lost the job DESPITE EXTREMELY FAVORABLE BUSINESS CONDITIONS was enough for me to reason that he's one of those "don't do the work at all, just copy the answers" type of guy.

I've said it before. Both team and player are incentivized to want as much on-field time as possible before that rookie contract expires. "Obstructions" like a vet placeholder do not last very long.

Dak and Romo is one example. Jerry Jones wouldn't even let Romo compete for the job back. He ate cap with Romo retiring.

Ryan Fitzpatrick wasn't going to stick either regardless. Now, he was "hot" but at the same time, still overrated because he had not cooled his INT-throwing habits.

Alex Smith came to us because Mahomes' time to start had come. Alex taught Mahomes real well, because that was a prodigious first year by Mahomes.

If someone's that new toy and drafted high, the team will want to give you games. They pretty much NEED to give you games to determine whether you're worth it. But he failed to do the work BEFORE THE GAMES and his teammates probably were uttering the whispers of mutiny in Rivera's ear.

It's not that Haskins has drug or criminal issues; he's very much a preppy rich kid. It was ALL about the football work he wasn't doing. The staring down of receivers, the dumb picks, the errant throws.

Alex taught Kapernick - they go to SB
Alex taught Mahomes - they win SB
Alex teaches Haskins - he goes nowhere

Alex has proven to be professional and willing to mentor. Most QBs wont mentor their replacements, but Alex has time and time again. Mahomes even credited Alex when he won with how much he showed him.

They just took the C away from him.

THAT'LL LEARN EM!!!
One would think!!! That nonchalant ,I don't care attitude he displays on the field is his true character..One must ponder if he really even cares!!!

Well... he did go to a hotel room with a bunch of strippers.

That C on his chest was all for show for him. Just like that $50,000 earring he had to wear during the game:ROFLMAO:

Lol, Haskins just living out the life of Simba in real life.

Elephant graveyard=stripper party
Nala=willing girlfriend
Zazu=Vets Alex Smith, Thomas Davis, Sr, etc.
Rivera= Mufasa

(Real life Zazu is Rowan Atkinson).

Well, the NFL is a win-culture.

Don't tell me that Joe Gibbs didn't cross his fingers when allowing Dexter Manley to come back repeatedly from drug suspensions and John Riggins was busted for DUI.

These players at the time were necessary to win.

Same thing in San Francisco where Bill Walsh put up with Charles Haley's antics because he was one of the best rush DE's in the NFL.

Dick Vermeil and Mike Martz allowed Leonard Little to start in the Super Bowl despite having been suspended for being involved in a DUI where someone he hit was put in the ICU and may have died - I don't remember the outcome there for sure.

But the point is well respected 'saintly' coaches like Gibbs, Walsh, and Vermeil bent their own rules at times to win in the NFL.

Where some in the Washington media are saying the team should just cut Haskins and go with Steven Montez the last 2 games and lose them just to prove a 'culture' point are losing the forest for the trees.

52 other players have sacrificed this year to win the NFC East. Several are now out for the season with serious injuries. Rivera can't just tell them that he is going to flush their commitment in 2020 down the toilet to start over again in 2021 without Haskins.

Haskins is going to be gone in any event.

Just as Bill Walsh/George Seifert reached a point in SF where they traded Charles Haley to Dallas after a Super Bowl win.

You're comparing Dwayne Haskins to some of the best to ever do it?

Well, ok. If that's the route you wanna go down.

As with most things, the truth lies somewhere in between. Mike makes a valid point that great coaches have gritted their teeth and continued to play guys with character or legal issues. However - they didn't do it for scrubs or unproven projects. I get the idea most are pushing that Haskins is the only chance we have to win the next 2 games. I just don't buy it. He's as apt to lose us those two games as he is to win them. The offense has done everything it could do to lose us the game the last 2 weeks - not sure how that changes in the next two. I understand why Rivera didn't suspend or release Haskins. But the idea of it didn't terrify me.

I know someone brought up Dex but do we need him sniffing the screen as the powder falls?? Too soon?

agreed.

I wanted him gone.

I get Why Rivera didn't cut him lose

I don't know that I have confidence that he brings anything to the table the other two dont

I am not as tuned in as Rivera and co so I'll ride with their judgement.
