Dwayne Haskins caught maskless in strip club

That's not true - not even close. I just think he's an immature kid who doesn't have the character to be a winning QB. I don't want to see this team waste any more time trying to make him into something he is never, ever going to be. I was positive about Haskins until this season. But I've seen enough now. 'Hate' has nothing to do with it.
Also, you have to understand that Rivera also has to deal with the NFLPA too and what kind of crap storm it would be to suspend a player over a Covid violation when no other player has been suspended for one.
Henry has the right idea: you IR him and let him go in Feb.

Then you live with Steven Montez. If he throws picks and they fail, then Rivera has a whole new crap storm to deal with.

Montez... uma's revenge wait that's when you get the doo doo butts, probably what we'd see on the field if he started anyway

You can't IR a player who isn't injured - that was never an option. I wouldn't have him start another game in B&G. That's just me. That doesn't even require a suspension, you just make him the 3rd string QB like you did earlier in the season. Whatever happens after that, I can live with.

Haskins in a nutshell:
Did not do job.

I wouldn't be surprised he's hit-or-miss again today. He's winging it every week.

Haskins has just been released.

Leaves me wondering if Dan the Boss demanded one more game for his boy before the axe.

Or perhaps Dwayne just cut it loose in private somewhere between now and yesterday?

Or perhaps Rivera wanted to shut up the race card portion of the media and fanbase by letting Dwayne have one more rodeo where he was "the man" so no one could raise a strong counterpoint to cutting Haskins.

I've heard that theory, that Rivera played Haskins yesterday to show everyone that he wasn't up to the task so he could move on from him.

I don't believe that. If he did piss away a chance to win the NFC East outright in order to 'make a point' - he should be fired. No way I believe that was what was going on.

Dwayne failed to live up to the very low expectations I had for him as a mediocre game manager.

The truth is 2019 was not the year to stretch for a quarterback.

Murray was the only true blue chip prospect and he was going #1 in any event.

Teams like Miami and the Chargers passed and took qbs in 2020 when more quality prospects were out there.

I think the coach thought Haskins gave us the best chance to win with what we have on the roster right now, and when he not only didnt play very well but didnt show much if any real remorse, they decided to move on. good decision. I doubt haskins catches on anywhere else and actually does anything
